When I heard that there was a new E in the works I told myself and my crafty friends I would not buy it. When it was launched on HSN at midnight, I watched the launch and like many of us fell in love with it. I was able to resist buying the E2, but I caved this week( an awesome price was only part of the reason). I started to read the message boards just to see what issues others have been having( issues I am hoping will not happen to me). Now I am afraid to even take it out of the box! I guess I just need to ask a few questions before I even consider peeling the green cricut tape from my box. *I watched the E2 AE video and noticed that one of the updates was kerning, has there been an update for welding yet? * Do I have to sync my cartridges to the E2( I don't really want to permanently attach a cart. this is one of the reasons I have been shunning the gypsy)? * Do I have to sync my carts with CCR and the E2 to cut projects from CCR? * About how often do I need to update my E2? I really want to take it out of the box soon  Thanks

You just have to insert them into the machine each time* About how often do I need to update my E2? Not that often. The most recent update was to add the functionality to use the scoring tip. I really want to take it out of the box soon Thanks

It would be wonderful if it could weld too.
I getting less nervous about taking it out of the box. Soon. Not today. Not that brave yet:)

If you purchased it from HSN you can use it for 30 days and if you don't like it send it back for a full refund. I have sent numerous items back, not craft item, but others. Good luck.

I couldn't wait to get mine out of the box!!! I love my E2!! Since hubby was away this week, I got to play a little!! I'm totally addicted!

Oh good I was wondering those same things. I couldn't wait to take mine out of the box either  . I had it out of the box and cutting in a couple minutes hehe.

Thanks everyone. It is still in the box, but I will be taking it out tomorrow. I have crafty things to get done for a wedding on Saturday  , and my E is not reading the newer project cartridges.
