Last week I THOUGHT I had magically beaten the bridge errors I was getting by switching my default browser to Google Chrome. A week later, it's WORSE than it was before!!
Now, I can TELL when it's going to do a bridge error (that's how often it happens) because it cuts really slowly when I know it's on speed 4 or 5..

I just don't know what to do! I LOVE the whole Cricut world since getting it at the beginning of July but am at my wits end for these errors. I've invested a boat load of money into this system, not to mention all the accessories that come with paper crafting!

I've tried all the troubleshooting posted on here so far (that I can find).

Such as:
- Making sure firmware is up to date. It is.
- I emailed Provo Craft about my EXPRESSION 2 and they emailed me troubleshooting instructions for machines with dials. When I replied and said "I have an expression 2 and there are no dials." I didn't get a reply.
- I have tried deleting cookies, restarting my computer, restarting CCR, turning the E2 on and off.....
- I have tried connecting it different ways - 1) opening CCR, then connecting the Cricut, then turning it on. 2) Turing the Cricut on, connecting the USB, then opening CCR
3) Opeing CCR, turning on the Cricut, then connecting it.

I've seen posts that basically say Cricut doesn't play well with Mac computers. Well, I can't afford to buy a new PC laptop JUST to use the Cricut!! It's totally absurd that they are less compatible with Apple. I could see that years ago, but I've never had issues like this with any product before.

Is there ANYTHING else I can do??

I have not read any work arounds so the only thing I can advise is to wait until PC releases a fix.

I have the same problem and have found that the small pin in the back of my E2 is damaged. The plastic bar that sits in the middle fell out leaving just the flimsy middle metal housing dangling. I managed to fit the plastic bar back in had had some success cutting from CCR. Currently my computer (yes it's a MAC) does not recognize my E2. The only bright side is that CCR recognizes my Imagine and it will print but not cut. So there are still problems with the machines as well as the software.
I wished everything worked as promised but it's most certainly is not a perfect world in ProvoCraft land.

If your E2 is less than one years old, you can contact pc to have it replaced since the USB fell into the machine and I know you put it back into place but it is best to be safe than sorry. :)

You're welcome and I am glad you are getting it replaced. Hopefully this E2 will behave herself. :) What you might consider doing is to leave a cable in the USB port so that way you will not have to disconnect it each time. :)

I've had it with all my cricut machines as every one of them is not working. I had a woman at support who was all gung ho to help and she has disappeared.

The first time I actually want to cut from CCR and my expression 2 will not stay connected to my computer. No this is not a computer issue as I work on computers for a living and this is a fresh windows 7 image, completely up to date.

It seems the connection on the back of the E2 is very loose and the minute the machine moves it loses connection.

I am NOT happy with this at all. The crap about less than 1 year old? I bought at Launch with the HSN warranty and I have used this machine a total of 12 times max! For $369 this machine needs to work and be equiped with proper equipment.
