Hello All, I have a Cricut Expression 2 and I have no idea what Im doing. I was wondering how do I use multiple sheets of paper on one mat at the same time.

When you place your images on the mat/screen, look to see where the image is and cut your paper in the colors you want and place them in the corresponding location.

Hi, I don't have an E2 so maybe I'm just clueless about this, but ... I do this with my E, but I have to use my Gypsy (or DS) to do this. Can you do this on the E2 without a Gypsy?

Yes, the E2 has a touchscreen that shows the mat like CCR, a gypsy and DS.

Yes you can. Wherever the image is on the screen you put the color paper you want for that image in that position on the mat.

I just want to add that if all your colors are on different layers, you will have to cut them one at a time. All the images on one layer will cut at one time, but if you have two or more layers, you can pause the machine -- when it stops cutting it asks if you want to return to your project or not -- and go back to the mat view and change it to the next layer that needs to be cut. You'll have to do this with each layer. This is how I do it. Of course, I'm on meds, so take it for what it's worth HTH :) P.S. There's a video on Youtube that shows this. If I can find it fast, I'll post a link. Found it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9F1eg4TRDeYHappy Crafting! Edited by user Thursday, August 02, 2012 1:42:12 AM(UTC)

I was doing a bunch of cuts from the Create a Critter cartridge and this is what my mat looked like. Each square on the mat is 1 inch, so you just cut the paper to be the size of your image and place it on the mat. I have an E2 machine and use the free Cricut Craft Room software almost exclusively. It's easier to manipulate images (resize, move on the virtual mat etc). asharoonie attached the following image(s):
