Being completely new to this, I am doing a project (an octopus from Pack Your Bags) I am using two different colors of orange but the lighter color tears and sticks. Does that happen sometimes? I'm using two colors from a multi color pack I purchased from Micheals.

Are you using card stock or paper? makes a difference on the settings, and which machine do you have?

I have a Cricut Mini and am using card stock. The orange works fine but the yellow is sticking and tearing. It's from the same pack. I have my blade set to 5, tension at 5 and speed at 1. Orange cuts fine with that but yellow doesn't so I was wondering if that is sometimes normal. Thanks for helping me.

It could be different grades of paper..not sure what paper you have, was sounding like the one sheet was thinner then the other, which could make the difference.

I turned the pressure way down, turned the blade depth way down, turned the speed way down and used muticut of two. This was paper that normally does not cut well in the cricut. Using a lighter touch, the paper cut fine. Mary

Good morning! There is a great website that has alot of helpful information on it regarding setting up the depth, pressure and speed to cut different brands and weights of paper. She also has dvd available for purchase to shorten the learning curve on cricut products. The gypsy one that I purchased was great. Here is the link to Above Rubies Studio: http://www.aboverubiesstudio.co...ricut-expression-2/5610/ Hope that it helps!
