When I went back home to NY for a visit, I knew I wanted to make a project while I was there for my niece and nephew's. I had an idea in mind, so I cut the letters with my Cricut before I left. I was originally going to hang the blocks with ribbon, but while I was there my mom came up with a better idea of attaching them to each other. She had some kind of tool (I have no idea what it's called, but could find out if you'd like to know), but anyways, it was a bracket that she attached to each block to drill holes in side and then we put little dowels in them to hold them together. This was a very inexpensive project because I bought the wood at Home Depot from the cull cart, which is just scraps. I got a bunch of boards for 51 cents a piece and then my mom cut them to size for me. I also came home with a suitcase full of wood (thanks to Southwest's free baggage, lol). I bought coordinating papers to match the letters that I had cut at home, and I used Mod Podge for this project as well. And after the letters were all attached to each other, we used the picture hanger brackets on the back so they could hang them easily. They were a big hit and the kids loved them! And I think the parents appreciated the fact of not having to hang each letter individually! :) Now I just need to make one for my son's room. Here is the one for my niece. The letters show up better in person. And for my nephews:
