So after a G update in Feb., any of the digi carts that I had in CCR and on my G became unlinked on my G. I have tried numerous things to get them back ie reinstall cartridge content, format and restore, resyncing more than once. Nothing has worked. I've even redone things making sure I turned off my anti virus. I know a lot of you have linked your carts to CCR and then synced your G so you now have them on both. I decided to try linking 1 cart to CCR to see if it would sync to my G and it did not. I talked to PC when I first lost my digis and they said the format and restore should take care of it. I'm very frustrated.

Which cart did you try to link? What is the two part build of your G?

After you reformatted and restored, did you re-sync your G to C Sync and exit out of Sync? Sometimes RR does and sometimes it does not link the previous linked carts as a sync hopefully will fix it. There is another update for your G but since the cart is old, you shouldn't have to update it. Let us know the outcome.

I did resync after three reformat. What's weird is when I reformatted, it erased all My files but I did not have to relink my carts. Also what is the last G update and when did it come out. I just did the sync least week and there was no update.

Make sure the cart is linked in CCR as perhaps CCR says it is linked and it is not so try linking it again in CCR to see if that makes a difference.

Since you did the RR, can you check to see if your linked G carts are now linked in CCR. If not, then the carts are linked to the part of the G that does not get reformatted as I was hoping that the link to our cricut.com com acct link was fixed via RR.

The last update was for June's HT and if you RR then you should have the most current update.

Call PC to see what is happening with your G and let us know the outcome.

I'm going to call PC tomorrow about my problem. Today I uninstalled Cricut Sync, reinstalled it with my antivirus and firewall of, resynced my G. Still no luck. I then tried reinstall cartridges option in sync. Still nothing. I don't even have the free Cricut craft room basic font and shapes.

Yes, call them and let us know the outcome because it sounds as if they will have to manually add the carts.

I called PC yesterday and she was not able to help me find a way to make it work. She put in a request for a life remote where they control your computer remotely. That should happen on Monday.

Well they've decided mine is a unique problem. It is not my computer , it is something with the G. They want product and development to take a look at it. I'm fortunate to live about 10 minutes from PC so they said just to drop it by. I'm going to do that this afternoon. I hope they can get it to work.

So I finally have an answer as to why this isn't working. This is my third G. Both my other 2 were sent back for warranty issues. The serial number has always been the same. Each time I got a replacemet, it had to be registered again. Each time my registration date would change in their system. I also was part of the demo army and we had to register our demo G so we had the current updates. I never linked any carts to it. I would just take my own since I had so many carts on it. We were allowed to purchase our demo items and I sold the G over a year and a half ago. I asked it to be removed from my account. It no longer should on my account but it was still in their system. My current G was replaced and registered about a year after my demo one. For whatever reason, all of the sudden at the beginning of Feb., PC (or their system)decided that my demo G was my primary G and so my G lost it's digital rights. They are working on fixing that and I will pick it up later today.

What's weird about this whole thing is that when I first called in about this issue, the person checked to see if this was the problem and I was told no.

I'm guessing the reason it took so long is that IT has been working on all the MB changes.
