I recently downloaded CCR and find that it is extremely buggy. I am not sure what to do.
Here's my current trouble. I am using Type Font Candy
I cut out the phrase "Just Married" (on two lines, welded together, standard font) at size 2 font and -7 spacing btwn letters.
I then changed the font to Sugar Script Shadow. The resulting cut matches the phrase only at the first letter of each word. The rest is too stretched out.
Next, I copied the phrase in CCR and manually lined up the letters. The spacing went down to -14 and was mostly accurate. I wanted to cut just the shadow but not the original phrase. I moved the shadow to the bottom of the 12 x 12 grid and deleted the original phrase. CCR deleted both phrases. I used undo, repeated the process, and the same thing happened. When I pressed undo, there was only a blank screen. The initial cut is gone.

Can anyone help me? I just wanted the machine to recut the original image with a shadow -- without CCR, I would have hit the shadow button and repeat last cut.

The trick to creating welded text shadows in CCR is to ungroup the shadow then move the letters manually. (Unfortunately there is no automatic shadow option yet).

I also find it easier to do welded shadows using two mat layers.

Here's a tutorial on Welded shadows that shows what I mean. http://cricutcraftroomblog.blog...g-text-boxes-in-ccr.html

I'm not sure what happened when you were deleting your phrase. Perhaps both were still selected.

Thank you. This is the kind of tutorial I needed. I still have some "bugginess" in CCR but maybe it will work itself out.
