For some reason I have lost the housing and blade for my 6" original cricut. I'd like to give it to a friend because now I have the Expression. I noticed I can order a replacement for $30 online. I was wondering if I could just buy a deep cut housing from a local craft store and then buy the regular replacement blades. I thought it might save me money. Any idea if this might work?

I was wondering the same. I do not think it will work because I had a reply to mine saying no. I wanted to know if you could use deep cut replacement blades in your original housing. They might be different sizes.
