I have seen that the glass blocks can be purchased at Hobby Lobby but I don't have one nearby(Sacramento). Is there any other places that sell them?

Try Lowes or Home Depot. Some of them sell them. Also Tile stores sometimes sell them. Good luck. Al

I have a whole case of them in the garage. I need a drill bit, and never got around to buying one for glass. I really need ot get on that. The blocks have been laying around for more than a year.

I really like the plexi-glass blocks that Uppercase Living sells- a bit pricey but nice.

Hobby Lobby also does online orders. They often times have them for 1/2 off.

Menard's. It's best to ask for what you are wanting, because it's extremely hard to find them unless you know where they are from other visits. Usually, those at the big box stores do not have pre-cut openings for you to place a light; however, last year at Christmas-time, I did see some at (with pre-cut slits) at Menard's up with the Christmas displays. If you drill these on your own, you need to be careful. They can explode if you don't do it right. I think you have to use a very small diamond blade to drill a hole, which allows whatever they put inside them to dissipate at a very slow rate. Maybe someone else here knows technical terms? Lowe's carries them at $4.95 if you need it NOW and the bit is going to be around $20. THIS is the best deal I"ve found even with shipping... http://www.amazon.com/Ho...id=1285622892&sr=8-2Just keep in mind their shipping is rather slow ( 3 weeks) but if you plan ahead... it's one hell of a deal!!! YOu can't buy a bit for the price of the whole kit ( bit, 3 blocks, and 3 sets of lights) ~M
