Confused "Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight." As a child we sang this song all time. But is it OK these days? I have an idea for a card or LO, but, I don't want to be politically incorrect or offend someone. What do you think???

Go for it! If it offends anyone they can deal with it.

I still say "Merry Christmas" and I don't care if it offends someone. If I know they aren't into Christmas, then I will say Happy Holidays.

I agree with Joy, doesn't the song go on to say Jesus loves the little children of the world? Go for it. Can't wait to see it. People have the choice to skip over your post if they have a problem with it.

If that sweet, classic song offends anyone, they need a serious attitude adjustment..lol! People need to put on their big girl/boy pannies and just deal with it...lol! Can't wait to see what you have come up with!

I'm in agreement with all the others, go for it. If anyone takes offense to this, well it's their problem.
Personally I take offense at all the people that tell us we can't do or say certain things because we run the risk of being politcally incorrect. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I haven't thought of that song in decades! Brings back alot of Sunday school days. Of course you should use it!! If it does offend someone it is their own personal problem. These days everyone is afraid to say anything that is conceived as "not politically correct". Usually people are offended in the "presentation" of the words and not so much the words alone. What could be offensive about that little song?

Jesus loves the little children
all the children of the world
red, yellow, black or white
they are precious in his sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world.

If singing a bible song is politically incorrect, then what are our politicians??? If you use it for pure enjoyment and mean no offense, then that is good enough. You can never please everyone. It is not possible so go with your heart. I used to love to sing that to my babies. Since it is supposidely incorrect to say "Merry Chrisrmas" any more, I don't even abreviate it, just to keep Christ in it. He is the reason for the season.

I will step down off my soapbox now! LOL

as for being politically correct, I will wish EVERYONE a Merry Christmas, and they are more than free to wish me a happy Haunaka, Kwanzaa, Saturday, or whatever they wish. How can someone be offended when you wish them a happy day?
