Pat, I love the card. Very beautiful! Sorry you were not able to find the stone that was requested. I have that some times. Not all info on FAG is correct and they may not be in that cemetery or the stones are damaged or gone entirely. Hope you can locate this one. It is very satisfying to be able to complete a request.

Lizzy, WTG on getting the report cards finished. I know that is a big task. Enjoy the 4 weeks of just teaching! Were you able to finish the giant poster?

Paula, your new "job" as travel companion sounds like it will be a fun one. I know you will enjoy it. Hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Glad the guys were able to finish up the cottage for the season.

Carrie, you had such a busy day planned, hope you were able to fit it all in!

Nancy, what are you up to?

Can't believe the weather here. It was in the 80's over the weekend and woke up to 71* this morning! We don't seem to be having the usual fall weather. I haven't even had to rake yet! I did get 5 birthday cards made yesterday - 2 to send out and 3 extras for my stash. I also got a list made of the paper/supplies I need so I can work on my holiday cards (I already have the sample card made). Now just need to make a trip to Topeka or KC to a scrapbook store.

This afternoon is my interview so I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed. BigGrin

Hallelujah! Indian Summer has arrived. Temperatures near 80* all week long and abundant sunshine.

Rhonda best of luck with your interview today. I hope your wish is granted. I have lots of leaves on the ground I'll share with you.

Pat I love the card. It is very elegant. Sorry you are unable to find the grave. Hope you get some help today.

Lizzy WTG on the report cards. Do not feel obligated to join in on the purge team. I've given up; for the week anyway. Enjoy your 4+ weeks of teaching. That sounds funny since teaching is what you are supposed to be doing. LOL

Paula glad you enjoyed the crop. And now you are a princess escort.

I got a couple layouts done yesterday, the laundry and the grocery store. I also was able to update my gypsy although it took several hours.
So today: (it helps to make a list and say I am going to do it)
1. Zumba again this morning
2. Make Aunt card and mail it
3. schedule car to go in for oil change etc.
4. Give QtnSasy a bath
5. Scrapbook store for baby blue paper. (hair designer is having a boy.)
6. Office entries and bank.
7. Return pair of jeans that are too big. (I like this one.)

Have a great day!

good morning.. Indian summer here also. I am loving it, because there really ae things I would like to be able to do on the deck. Like going through the boxes of scrapbooking stuff.
Thanks for the compliments on the card. The one on pinterst had used a stamp, but I knew I would be better off cutting the branch. People were ooohing and awing over it at the crop as well. This was not my original card plan, but it seemed much easier.

Rhonda, I will be saying a prayer and keeping my fingers crossed for the interview to go well and hopefully give you one less thing to worry about and something (new job) to look forward to.
There were so many damaged and worn thin stones at this cemetery, I would not be surprised if the one I needed was there, just not identifiable. Hopefully the office can help me out when I call.
Carrie, I like a to do list also. Sometimes it is just so I don't forget. LOL WTG on the layouts. That is something I want to get back to. I love doing cards and other paper crafts, but the layouts tell the story. I don't have any crops lined up, so everything is going to be done at home. I could sign up for some crops over the next 2 mos, but I don't want to be committed. Plan is to finish my cards next Monday at my friend's house.
So with that all said I am going to get back to what I was doing, which was laundry. Also today I need to:
1. PO and bank run for society stuff
2. purge the boxes of craft stuff on the deck into one box
3. freeze a loaf of dessert type bread in individual slices, so they don't go bad.
4. finish emptying my rolling tote from the crop and put everything away.
5. boxes/bags for Stephanie into the JEEP to go to her this evening.

I don't know if Indian Summer jumped right over us of if it is yet to come.
It is 67 and raining. We are supposed to have a thunderstorm. I can hear thunder in the distance.

Wow, you guys are busy today.

Rhonda, I am thinking about you and hope it goes well.
Yesterday you almost made more cards than I did at the weekend crop. haha

Pat, your card is lovely. Very nice design.
Sorry you couldn't find what you were looking for at the cemetary yesterday. I too hope you can get some help with it.
The pics you posted on FB are beautiful!! What a beautiful drive you got to enjoy!

Carrie, I am with you, I do much better getting things done with a list. Hope you get lots of things checked off of yours today.
We have lots of leaves too, I will join you in sharing with Rhonda.

I signed up to be a travel companion with the girls a couple months ago. I only signed up for two things, the first in January. Then I went back and signed up for more. I wanted to do a Nursing home tour first because the director goes that day and is in charge of everything. I will be a helper, making sure the girls are doing what they should be doing and helping them get changed into their different outfits. It's about a twelve hour day!!
There are probably about a dozen people who are travel companions and the sign up for when the can/or want.

Now that I have eaten a bag of potato chips I think I will find some lunch.

I also did 3 loads of laundry. All in all.. a good day.

Paula, that was some lunch. LOL The travels sound like they will be fun. Are these short trips and local?

Calling it a night. We have to be at dgk's school at 8am for grandparent's breakfast.

Congratulations Pat, on knocking off your to do list! Enjoy breakfast with DGK's. What a great way to start the day.

Carrie, you had quite a busy day scheduled as well. How did you do?

Paula, what did you decide for lunch after you ate you pre-lunch snack? Hope your rain moves out soon. Maybe you could share?

The interview went well yesterday. I go back for a second interview on Friday. The work is almost exactly what I have been doing for the last 25 years. But they are still a bit unsure as to what the want and what the job description will be. So the waiting continues.

Last night I went to a craft meeting with the SU group. We made a pretty little ornament. A nice way to spend the evening.

Not sure what is on for tonight but may try to run the mower over the main yard one last time then put the mower away for the season. It is supposed to be another 80* day.

Good morning!

Well I didn't do so good on the list yesterday. I still have the office stuff to do and the return to take care of.

Pat yesterday was a beautiful day and the deck a perfect place to sort boxes. Today started with thunderstorms but they have moved through and it's clear skies behind them. They'll be heading your way shortly. The card you made was definitely a hit.

Paula a whole bag a potato chips? Yuck! The princesses are more of a production than I realized. It's pretty cool that they visit the folks in the nursing homes. I see that most of Michigan is rainy again this morning.

Rhonda I am awaiting news! How did the interview go?

Well I am heading upstairs to finish a layout I started yesterday. It is the final layout for Dubrovnik and then I need to print Rome photos and there are several hundred of those. I am going to have to be very picky. I also have reflexology on my hand/wrist today and lunch with Jen. If it dries up and is sunny this afternoon the fur babies need baths too.

Rhonda you snuck in on me! Congratulations on the second interview. Hope everything goes your way.

I don't know why but I can no longer see the emoticons. They are not loading for some reason. So sad not to see the smileys.

Good morning ladies!

Wanted to say hi before I run out the door. Oh, those Tuesday houses...

Carrie, I didn't really eat the whole bag, just too many.
Yes, we are getting lots of rain, the creek is really high.
How nice that your working on layouts!!
I don't see the emoticons either.

Rhonda!!!! Hurray!! Glad it went well for you. Having the first one over should help with the butterflies!
I would be happy to share a bit of rain. It stormed most of the night. In fact, I turned off the computer last night after our power went out twice. The thunder was so sharp and loud. Then for awhile it rummbled low and long.

Pat, Tour Day takes the girls all around the area and to towns within an hour away I would say. They represent SW Michigan so they cover that area. However they go to two special olympics which are as far away as Traverse City. (maybe 4ish hours away?)

Gotta run!

Good morning!

Sorry I have been MIA. I just wanted to pop in to say all is well. We went up north over the weekend and then just the usual busy days with a baby.

I hope all is well with everyone!

I also just found out that my mom is moving to a new nursing home this week so we will be busy packing her up and unpacking her over the course of the next few evenings. Can life get any busier?

good evening... another good day of purging/sorting/trashing. And most of it was done on the deck. It was so pleasant out there.
I took 3 big boxes of scrap supplies and got them down to one box, one bag of trash and one bag of paper recycle. Tomorrow I will take on more boxes of scrap booking stuff. I will keep filling boxes for the sale. Stephanie's friend is not taking any more rummage sale donations, so everything now will just go to regular charities.
Breakfast was fun, but too early.. LOL
OMG, I just noticed the smiley faces are back. YEA!!

Rhonda, so glad the interview went well and you have a second one. Do you feel good about this job if it happens?

Carrie, I hope you had a good day today. That is a lot of pictures to have to pick through for layouts. I need to get some pictures printed from the recent society meeting, so I can keep that album caught up. I need to split it into 2 albums.

Paula, hope Tues house went smooth. What else did you do?

Nancy, good to see you stop by. I have another small book I am working on for you with some different puppets for the kids. Oh and the Pooh that missed the last box.

Well, I am going to sort some paper and see what can go in the trash. Ruthless is the key word when it comes to keeping paper.

Hello all!

Let me start where I remember

Pat, that card is gorgeous! And yes, you are right...This job is perfect for me! Oh and your pics on FB are awesome!

Paula, sorry your weather is sucky. It was cold while I was in MI but Sunday was nice. It's supposed to be 80 tomorrow and Thursday. Wow!

Lizzy, congrats on getting the report cards done.

Rhonda, glad you got to see your family at WM. I'm sure that was a nice surprise.

Carrie, glad your wrist is feeling better.

Hi Nancy!

Ok, I am now a licensed Zumba instructor! Loved the class even though I didn't have a clue LOL
I am excited and looking forward to this. I had a nice visit with family while in MI. Not much else happening around here.

Hope I get more in here this week. Miss you guys

Later!

Good morning....

Laurie, congratulations on becoming a Certified Zumba Instructor! Sounds like lots of fun. Hope you can drop in more often. How is DH's job search coming along?

Pat, you are a ruthless sorting/purging machine! That is awesome. And so glad the weather is so nice that you are able to work on the deck. Enjoy it while you can. I know the grands enjoyed having you join them for breakfast.

Nancy, you are one busy women as usual. Hope the move for your mother goes smooth.

Paula, hope the weather cleared up for you and Tuesday house went smooth as well. Are you scrapping today with Deb?

Carrie, glad you finally made it to layouts. And making some progress. Did you get the furbabies bathed yesterday?

Last night I worked on Halloween treat boxes for the grands and a friend. I made the coffin shaped boxes from the Artiste cartridge and some tags as well. Need to stop and get some treats to fill them. Also want to make a couple of Halloween cards as well.

Today will be the last very warm day for a while - 80's today and 40's tomorrow! Just hope we have some fall weather and don't go right into winter.

Good morning!

Laurie congrats on being a licensed Zumba instructor! Good for you!

Pat you are doing a great job at purging! I bet it feels so good! You are lucky to enjoy the nice weather outside. Our weather has been mild but like Paula rainy! Thank you for for think of me and my little ones with the puppets. They do enjoy them too. I have to tell you those books you sent are really cute. The kids love them because they are so silly!

Paula we have had rain here too, no storms but we may get some sever storms this afternoon and evening. WHat is even worse is that we are going to my mom's to pack up some of her stuff and it will NOT be fun putting it in the truck in the rain, especially the scooter! What are you crafting today?

Carrie after you pick you photo's for Rome you could always put the ones you don'e use in your album into a normal album with out any scrapping just so you are able to look through those too. Creative Memories has albums that you just slide in the pics and then they make journaling papers the same size so you can slide one of those in with some journaling. My SIL does that with her extra photos that she doesn't scrap.

Rhonda that is great you have another interview. I hope they can nail down exactly what the job will be soon so you know and they can move forward with the position. Good luck! Your coffin treat boxes sound cute!

Lizzy I hope all is well with you.

The gal who took my pictures was manually focusing and she used the indicator in her viewfinder rather than her eye and it didn't do such a great job. At least she knows for future reference.

Today will be busy here. I want to try to do my bills at rest time if the baby cooperates with a nap. Tonight we will go over and pack my mom's things up and take some with us and just leave the bare minimum for Riley to get tomorrow when he picks her up to bring her to her new nursing home. She has been at this nursing home before. She was there after her knee surgery a few years ago. She also worked there a long time ago!

Kids are here!

Good morning.

Nancy I pretty much scrap almost every photo. I throw out the ones that are duplicates. I take a lot of photos of the same thing from different angles, lighting, etc. Hope the rain holds off for moving your mom.

Paula I had to laugh about Traverse City being far. I really didn't think you'd eat the whole bag and still be hungry for lunch. It was just too easy not to rub you a little bit about it.

Pat how can you throw away paper? LOL I have lots of paper that is absolutely ugly and can't believe I bought it. LOL Good for you.

Laurie congratulations! So how fun is it to shake your behind? LOL We are doing a Party in Pink event here on Saturday. I need to go over to the Country Club and see if I can get my ipod to connect to the music system so we have music in the ball room. It is an absolutely fun way to exercise. Glad you enjoyed visiting with your family.

Rhonda I love the coffin box from that cartridge. I have seen so many cute ideas done with it. What a great idea to make for the grands. They will enjoy it. Enjoy your warm day.

Well I have another packed day.
Another issue that is going on that I haven't said anything about is that my father had a chest xray on Monday that showed some spots. He goes from a CT scan today. I have been very worried as he had Melanoma removed last year and he is getting older. But only a small amount of these kinds of x-rays turn out to be anything bad. So I will be tied to my cell phone all day.

Hello ladies!

No scrapping with Deb today. Crying Tomorrow she leaves for her "scrapaganza" weekend. These are ladies from the other side of the state (where she used to live) that she has been getting together with for years. It goes through MONDAY!! For some reason, she thinks just because she will be scrapping for 5 days she shouldn't scrap today. Imagine that!! Wink

Nancy, I think that is a gread idea about putting mass amounts of pics in a different album. Especially if they are scenery.
I may make my way to the scrap room yet today. Need to continue making page kits.
I hope the rain holds off so you can get your mom packed up and moved.

Carrie, I hope you get good news today when the report comes in for your dad.
Traverse City is the appearance that is the furthest away for the girls. Both of the Special Olympics appearances are overnight trips so that makes it more of a commitment for the travel companions. Plus it's while there may be snowy roads. Those are the reasons I am hesitating on signing up for one of those even though I would like too.

Rhonda, you are busy crafting!! I bet the kids will get a kick out of the treat boxes you are making them!
I don't know if you have Paper Dolls (dress up I think??) but that is what I made some cards from. They have little "monster" costumes and a ghost one.

Pat, I suppose you are busy throwing something away, hehehe.
I am glad you were able to attend the breakfast! I know that means a lot to the kids. Having someone there who loves them and supports them is so very important!!

Well, I guess I should get my day started. I am really taking advantage of not having anything pressing to do. I think I will pick up a bit around here and head to the craft room. Better come up with a dinner plan first or that might never happen. Blushing

good afternoon.. ready to call it a day on the deck. I finished the wreath for the front door and took care of 2 more boxes of stuff for the sale in Dec. These were stickers and such that were donated to CFS, but they weren't anything we would use on cards. So off they go for another good cause. The other box was more general stuff I don't use or want.
This evening I am going to work on the sentiments for my Christmas cards so I can be ready to finish them up on Monday. So today I created one more bag of paper for the recycle and one bag of trash. Carrie, fear not the paper I am getting rid of in the recycle is just scraps from cuts and paper the grands have used. The decent/usuable stuff is going to youngest dgd's class for art projects.

Let me see if I remember what I read.
Rhonda, the treat boxes sound cute. I can never count on seeing my grands before Halloween, so I usually send them a card with McD's gift cards. They love that. Cold weather is moving towards us also, so I am going to suggest we take down the gazebo cover this weekend. Right now it is covered with lady bugs.
Nancy, I hope the move for your Mom is easy. Sounds like everything is planned out. And no problem sending some of these things to you. I am not even sure where those books came from, but they fit in the box and were too young for the dgk's. I am glad they are being enjoyed.
Paula, I am not sure I could do a 5 day crop. I sometimes struggle with a 3 day, although those are when I am most productive.

Well, it is time to get dinner started. Or at least think about it. I was going to do country fried steaks. Mainly because the cube steaks need to be cooked.

Good morning!

Carrie I hope everything turned out OK and the news is good with your dad's CT scan yesterday. I agree about some of the paper I have bought as well. It is ugly, but I just can't seem to throw it. I let the kids use it but there is so much of it. I may have to come with a project that uses more than what they use!

Paula did you get more page kits made? I will be scrapping on Nov. 10th and need to make a plan for that. My neighbor and I may work on our calendars we do every year for our mother's/MIL's. I need to get the pictures printed and get one form my SIL. Maybe I can try to get those to the printer today at rest time if the baby cooperates again.

Pat I can't believe you are working on your Christmas cards. I am not sure what I will do this year. I am thinking I won't have as much time this. The only thing I have made from cube steaks are what is called the Marlboro Man sandwich from the Pioneer Woman website, or maybe it is a blog, but anyways it is yummy but not so great for you as it has butter in it.

Well the baby cooperated and took a 2 hour nap at the same time as the other little ones so I was able to get my bills done. I hope he does the same today, though it is rare so I am not counting on it.

THe rain stopped for a while so we got almost all of my mom's stuff packed and moved to the new nursing home. She has her fan, phone, one small bag and her walker. It is a good thing that it is only a few things because it is raining this morning and it isn't supposed to let up. On the plus side she gets to be by the window this time and at the moment she doesn't have a room mate. She has way more space in this room over the one she is in now. I would say it is almost double the space.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning ladies!

Off to my Thursday house. I have 10 cards for her. The ones I did last weekend and some others I finished last night. I have made cards for her in the past but this time I asked her to pick out a few sheets of paper so I could use something I knew she liked. I only ended up using two of her sheets so I guess I will be making more sometime.

This afternoon I also have a hair cut appt.

Oh Nancy, I see you posted. Glad the move went well. It sounds like your mom will have a much better space. I hope she adjusts well and likes it!
I did not do any more page layouts but finished the cards. Maybe tonight...

Hope everyone has a good day!!

good morning...

Carrie, keeping my fingers crossed on the results of the CT scan. The waiting is very hard.

Nancy, glad you were able to make such good progress on your mother's move. Having her space near a window is a great plus. And more space as well! The Marlboro Man sandwiches sound interesting. Will check them out. I enjoy watching Pioneer Woman on Food Network. Glad the baby cooperated with you yesterday so you could get other things completed.

Pat, your wreath turned out beautiful. Love the colors. Can't believe you are almost finished with your cards. I have my sample one made but need to pick up more paper before I can finish them.

Paula, what did you get done in your craft room yesterday?

I got a few small treats and gift cards to put in the treat boxes. Will take Mel and Amber's to the football game tonight. I am going there to watch Amber march with the band in their new band uniforms. Not liking the big change in the weather. It was 70* at 5 am and now it is only 52* - will be in lower 40's by game time Sad

I have committed to having a Stampin' Up party in early November. If there is anything anyone needs let me know and we can get your order in for my partyWub

I finished the book "Virgin Blue" last night. It was slow to get into but ended up a real good book. Although I don't like books that take place in two different time periods and they keep going back and forthConfused

good morning....dreary but the sun will be back today and it will be nice, so I am going to be baack on the deck with more scrapping stuff to sort. I also waant to do a fall arrangement to go by the fireplace. ThumpUp I am finding by switching modes with the purging/trashing and doing something totally different/fun I am not so bored and losing enthusiasum. Goal was to have the bulk of this done by Halloween, and while I won't make it, I will have done enough to make a dent.
Nancy, so glad the baby took a good nap. Hopefully he will again today. I worked on my cards last weekend at the crop and made really good progress. I will be at a friends for 5 hrs on Monday and should be able to finish them up. At least that is my plan. I think you have mentioned that recipe before using cube steaks. I ended up not cooking them, but will put them in the crockpot today. Found a recipe using cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix. But I would be interested in your recipe (or I could find it). I can do butter.
Speaking of ugly paper... that is all going to youngest dgd's teacher for art projects. Last night I boxed up all kinds of smaller pieces of solid cs that I had used to make trial cuts. I figure if it is more than her teacher wants, she will share with the other teachers. I can barely use my good stuff, let alone the thinner ones.
Glad the rain co-operated for the move and sounds like MIL made out so far.

Today, I need to make a run to the PO to drop off a return ThumpUp and then I am going to the grocery to get a few things I need for squash soup. ThumpUp I also want to see about getting an appointment for some much needed hairapy. I am ok until the bangs get in my eyes ThumpUp .

Also on my list for today is
1. re-packing some tea items for a tea room donation ThumpUp
2. call cemetary about the missing headstone need to call back in the morning..
3. find a spot for the bike inside (even if it is temporary) ThumpUp

What is everyone else up to?

I see Rhonda & Paula posted while I was typing. Brrr on the temps Rhonda. We are going to get rain from Sandy by Sunday and then much cooler temps.

All the ThumpUp is what I got done today. I also filled a box with more scrapbook stuff for donation to the sale.

Good morning all...

I cannot believe how early it is! I woke up about 3:30 and could not go back to sleep. Finally got up about 4:15 am. It is going to be a long dayConfused

I went to the football game last night and watched Amber and the band perform. It is a very small band but they did a good job. It was not so cold but the wind was gusting so I sat in the car except when they were performing and came home after their half time performance.

Pat, you were super productive yesterday. The front porch fall decorations are beautiful. Love the large flower creation by the door!

Paula, hope Thursday house wasn't too bad.

Carrie, have you heard about your fathers scan?

Today is my second interview. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Does anyone have any special plans for the weekend?

Pat, I have been watching the weather channel and looks like Sandy could cause some problems for your area. Hope it is not too bad.

good morning.. Rhonda, I hate when I wake up early and can't go back to sleep. It does make for a long day. I am also not a nap person, so that makes it worse.
Definitely will be watching Sandy this weekend. It could get really ugly or be manageable. Either way tomorrow we are taking down the gazebo cover, bringing the bike inside and putting the remaining deck furniture in the shed. The rest of my sorting will have to be done inside, which is a bummer. So much easier to spread out on the deck.
I hope the interview goes well today and everything works out. Jim said it is always good when they call you back, so we will think positive.
My hairdresser had to go over to the beach yesterday to get her rental house hunkered down for the storm, so my hairapy was cancelled until tomorrow morning. The shore will get hit much harder obviously.
So besides prepping for Sandy and hairapy, my plan for the weekend is to print out sentiments for my cards, so I can work on them Monday. I think I am also going to print the society meeting pictures, so I can get those pages started.

Today, I want to clear the temporary spot for the bike. That means moving the boxes of scrap supplies. I also need to go to McD's and get giftcards for the grands so I can get them in the mail. I should have done that when I was out yesterday, but I was near McD's at lunch time and NOT convenient.
I think we are going to try to vote also this weekend. Early voting starts tomorrow.
I am going to get moving now. These boxes aren't going to move themselves.

Hello ladies!

Pat, nothing like a little hurricane to get you moving! haha
Hopefully you will get everything moved before the bad weather moves in.
We had another hard rain last night. The ground is carpeted with leaves. Boy do we have a lot of work to do.

Rhonda, I hope all goes well today with your interview. Let us know how you what you think.
It's nice you got to see Amber march last night. I am guessing it's about their last game?
Sorry you couldn't sleep, I hate that, laying there watching the clock. Did you bring toothpicks to prop your eyes open??? LOL
For me this weekend is more page kit prep. Sunday Tay does have his first concert for SW MI Concert Band. They are having it in my home town at the HS I graduated from. I think that is kind of strange out of all the places it could be. (not the building I went to as they have built a new beautiful school) I think DH's brother and wife are coming to the concert which is kind of fun. It is the school their kids graduated from.
So what are you doing this weekend?

I am wondering what Carrie has heard too.

Nancy, I hope your Friday goes well. Did your temps drop too?

Laurie, Lizzy, it's time for you ladies to check in. Flapper

Good morning!

I couldn't log on this morning. I restarted the computer then I was able to log in.

Paula that is nice that you make cards for one of your clients. I would like to be doing LO's but I have to think about the calendar. I will be doing 6x6 LO's but not the ones I want to be doing. I really want to finish my 2011 album. I am so close! You just popped in....yes our temps d=ropped too. It will only get to the lower 40's today. We will have sunshine and no rain today though!

Rhonda GOOD LUCK on your interview! Sorry about the lack of sleep. I don;t like that when that happens either. Do any of us though? I don't blame you about sitting in your car. I don't like being out in the cold wind either. Did they like their coffin treat boxes?

Pat I get using the scraps. Sometimes it is just remembering to use them for me. All the smaller ones I cut up for collages for the kids though. I bet that will be nice to have your holiday cards done. I hope Sandy doesn't cause you any headaches! Here is the link to the sandwiches using the cubed steak. The guys really like this. The part about putting extra sauce over the sandwich really makes the sandwich so we always do this.

http://thepioneerwoman.com/cook...2007/06/marlboro_mans_f/

Carrie I hope the news was good news yesterday.

Lizzy and Laurie I hope all is well with you!

I did not have much down time yesterday so I didn't get to my pictures. Maybe today though since I don't have the baby. It would be nice to have the pictures so I can get papers picked so I am ready for the crop on the 10th. I am actually thinking of skipping the calendar part and making an extra LO since she NEVER uses the calendar part. She has the calendar she uses on her counter about 2 feet from where she hangs the one I make her. Of course that means 24 LO's instead of 12. I don't think they will be hard though since they are just 6x6 LO's.

Not sure what is in store for the weekend. We were going to drive to the cities to check out the ice shacks but the place we were going doesn't have them set up yet. They said they would but I called and the don't. We were planning on getting the first load of Good Will stuff out the door and work on another tub or two in the basement.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Hello ladies. The system that is supposed to merge with Sandy is over head now and it is raining.

I have not heard any news yet concerning my dad's CT scan but thanks for thinking of me. It usually takes a few days to read the films so I thought today would be a long shot. More likely Monday or Tuesday. I was at the Stefanie Spielman center on Thursday chatting with women who have been diagnosed. It always makes me sad. Then had lunch with a friend and in between I am organizing my kitchen cupboards and drawers which will take a while. I did go to Archivers today and got paper for Christmas cards.

Rhonda I sure hope the interview goes your way today. And sleep is over rated. I am up in the middle of the night most nights so if you ever need a friend I am usually on Facebook or Pinterest. Just a tip for getting back to sleep quickly: Get up and do something. If you just lay there you won't make yourself tired. DH told me this and I didn't believe him until I couldn't sleep and it does work. How did the kids like their coffin boxes?

Nancy Hope you got your mom all moved and she is settled and comfortable. A window is a plus. Did you find time to get your photos organized for the calendar?

Pat I think the best spot for the bike is in front of the tv for obvious reasons. Sounds like Sandy is going to make a mess of everything. I am hoping it goes north of you that way it won't get to me. BigGrin

Paula what do you do for page kit prep? Enjoy the concert, family and returning home so to speak.

Well we have an open house tonight for a business that we invested in. They skin ponds for algae and make things out of it like lotions and sun screens, etc. Pretty interesting.

So this weekend I have to get a plan for Christmas cards and do layouts. I really need to get a move on with the layouts.

good evening.. what a day this has been. Did what I could on the deck and Jim will finish up tomorrow. I then worked on some sorting, but not much.
LOL on the "little hurricane" comment Paula. I am sure you are aware this is anything but *little*.
I forget how many days your crop is? You should have plenty of page kits ready to go. I have about 10 I could send you if you think you will run out. I can even include pictures of how they need to be put on the paper. I love that idea I got from Carrie, at I think the Columbus swarm. Now I just take the pictures with my tablet so I don't even have to print them. Gotta love technology.

Nancy, I have had the same problem with logging in and having to just restart the computer. Tonight I worked on piles of scraps to give dgd Madison's class. I also have a lot of holiday paper scraps and wishing I had time to put together CFS. Oh well.
Thanks for the link to the sandwiches. Jim would like those I think.

Carrie, the system bringing you rain is going to make Sandy worse for us. I am so tired of weather. I don't even want to think what winter is going to be like. I would love to have my bike in front of the TV, but there isn't room. If I had room in here, there is a TV though. hmmmm, now you have me thinking. I thought by a window would be like being outside. There is no window in here.
Business investment sounds interesting. Good luck.

I think it is time to call it a night. Hairapy is at 10:30 tomorrow and then we will work on the yard a bit. Jim said he will get the cover off the gazebo and the furniture off the deck while I am gone. It takes both of us to get the bike through the door and inside. I am going to make a harvest squash soup tomorrow. I also want to roast up some veggies. Busy, busy, busy.
I will continue to work on my purging and sorting through the weekend also.

Hello ladies!

Looks like a typical fall day here. Cold and lots of leaves everywhere!!
I think we are going to work on those today.

Last night we went out to dinner with friends and then we went to pick up an entertainment center I bought on the on line garage sale place. (I know, you haven't heard about me moving furniture in ages!!! Flapper ) Well...it was too big to fit in our van. We have hauled everything in that van and people could not believe what fit, I never even considered the fact that it wouldn't. I had asked the height of the piece but didn't think about the length. ugh! Plus it weights about two tons!!!! We will go back Monday night with the church trailor. Now I am thinking it is going to be to big to use it how we wanted to use it. (as a place next to the fireplace to hold the dvd player, sound thing, game systems and movies and junk. If we don't like it there it will go to the cottage to replace the on we have there. The only thing is it's so very heavy I cringe thinking of trying to haul it in there.

So....Pat, I sure hope the weather doesn't hit you guys hard. It sounds like you are going to be ready. Hopefully Jim cleared the deck and you can just move the bike in.
How was hairapy?
The soup sounds good, I have never made squash soup but I think it would be yummy. Is it a recipe that you have made before?

Rhonda, how did yesterday go?? I am wondering how you feel about it.
I am guessing you will have leaves to take care of too? Did the siding get fixed?

Well, I have accomplished nothing yet today and DH will he home soon. He went to a seminar this morning and then to the hospital to visit a lady who had the same surgery he had last year plus they also did a triple bypass too!! Yikes!!! She is doing well.

If you don't hear back from me I may be lost in a pile of leaves!! Tongue

good afternoon.. Paula, I hope you don't get lost in the leaves. We have ours under control now, but once the winds start gusting, they will bring a lot more of them down.

Hairapy was good, but boy are they busy on Saturday. I never go on the weekend and now I know why. Jim got the last few things off the deck, there really wasn't much, and had it all in the shed when I got home. We finished up the gazebo cover and got it put away. Then he cleared out the gutters. I had asked him to wait 'til I got home before he got on the ladders. All that is done now. Plants are in the corner of the deck and we will bring the hibiscus and the big cactus inside tomorrow. It is going to get ugly, no doubt, but we are ready. I am hoping we don't lose power, but there is a chance. Our utilities are mostly underground.

I have made a lot of squash soups, but not this one before. I found the recipe in a magazine I was tossing, so I scanned it. It has apples in it and lots of added flavor. We love those kind of soups. I will share the recipe if anyone wants to try it.

Sorry the cabinet might not work like you had thought it would. Maybe you will get lucky. Are there people near the cottage who can help move it? Two tons is pretty heavy..LOL

Well, I am going to get back to work here. Still need to print out the sentiments for my cards.

Good evening everyone!

Paula, we had the same kind of weather today. 2 days ago we were 81*. Hope it's not an indication of a bad winter.

Pat, stay safe when Sandy comes to you. I hope it's not as bad as they are predicting. Lots of people I know are in her path.

Today was a pajama day. I did some practice Zumba today and even made some cards.

Tomorrow I am making French Onion soup for the first time. Hope it comes out ok.

later!
