I thought I popped in this morning but I guess I never made it.

I had to run to the grocery store and make a pot of soup before Deb came over this morning.
Today I worked on getting some cards prepped because I think I might do a crop next weekend. It's the same person that did it a few weeks ago. I think my sister and her friend is going so I will join them at least for part of it.

Pat, good job working on your yard (you too Laurie!!) Nice t get a jump on it while it is nice.
YUM! Cherry scones sound really good!

I tried to go for a walk with DH tonight. We took the dog and she started limping so I came back an DH went on. (way to get out of a walk!) He wanted to walk back together and continue on but I sent him on. How bad is that??

Laurie, your card is nice!! I don't think it's all that simple! Looks like a lot of work to me.

Nancy, did you get your numbers cut for the invite?
Green day....hmmm...can't say I have any green day ideas.

Tomorrow Katie and I are leaving for up north. I don't think I will be around any computers so I will probably be absent until Saturday night.

Good evening...not sure where to start and not sure what is happening to me. I feel as if I were losing my marbles! I am very distracted and cannot seem to be able to keep my mind straight about anything.

For starters, I thought I had a coaching gig on Friday AM, so I arranged for a substitute teacher that day. I was merrily proceeding with my life until 5:30 tonight when I got a text message from the teaching coach who texted me saying "Are you ready for tomorrow AM? I'll see you in my office at 8:00 AM." I nearly died on the spot! Of course, I quickly called my sub to see if she could come tomorrow instead; then officially scheduled her for tomorrow; cancelled her for Friday; then made the plans for my coaching for tomorrow instead of doing that tomorrow evening as I had originally thought I would do. And, I still haven't done my sub plans for the morning. Needless to say, yes, I am stressed.

I have no idea where I got the notion that the coaching gig was on Friday? I cannot even remember...but somehow I did...and so I went merrily on my way.
27.
There have been any number of other stressful things along the path. This afternoon, my students were so obnoxious with their yelling and using inappropriate language, I stopped teaching and gave them more homework and told them to get to work; I would no longer teach them. Of course, I already told you about the thing that happened during the Royal Visit which I still am not sure if there was any fallout from that.

Overall, this is how I get right before I go on vacation. Nothing makes me happy. I'm tired. I'm cranky. Everyone gets on my nerves. I'm just ready to be gone.

The weather here is cloudy and cool. I like it and it's supposed to turn even colder and bring in rain this weekend. I would love it to storm all weekend long. I know lots of other people would be very unhappy, but it would really help our dry rainy season!

I have decided not to go visit my mother at this time. I need to stay at home and take care of myself. I will go to Florida from April 2-7. After that, I don't know what I will do. I'd like to take a trip with Terry somewhere, but I don't know what his schedule is for sure. Then, I'm working April 19, 20, and 23 for a friend; then I go back to work on April 27. In May, though, my friend will work for me for 3 days so I'll have a random 3 extra days off in May! Woo-hoo!!

My brother just got back from a trip to Jamaica and it sounded wonderful. Maybe he and I should just go there together.

OK...I'm going to go.

Lizzy, sorry for all the frustrations. Hope coaching goes well this morning. Maybe the kiddos are as ready for the break as you are. It doesn't excuse their behavior but may explain a bit. Glad you were able to re-schedule your sub for today instead of tomorrow. A trip to Florida??? That should be a very relaxing one.

Pat and Laurie, glad you were able to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather. I so need to but haven't made it yet!

Laurie, I love the card. How is the job search coming along?

Nancy, I know you will have a great fun day for the kiddos tomorrow as they celebrate St. Pat's Day. Have you had any more time to practice what you learned with your camera?

Paula, hope the limp the dog had? Maybe she knew you really didn't want to go on that walkBigGrin

Tonight I have blood donation, then need to stop for some groceries. It looks like a nice weekend here so I hope to get outside and get some weeds/leaves/sticks etc taken care of.

Goodmorning!

Lizzy I am sorry everything seems to be such a struggle right now. You know how they say count to ten when you are angry? Maybe when you get feeling bad you can count the days left in your head...haha. I hope your coaching goes well today and your class behaves!! BigGrin

Rhonda, sounds like your night is full tonight. The dog has been limping for some time now. I thought she was better. I took her to the vet for a checkup awhile back and didn't even have him look at it because she was doing better. ugh!! She has a growth on her eyelid that will probably have to be removed too. He said it could be a tear duct problem but he thinks it will need surgery. double ugh!!

Off to finish getting ready, load the car and get out of here.

good morning.. I am off today to meet a friend for tea. We will be scoping out a new tea room which is about an hour from me, if I don't run into traffic or get lost. We are looking forward to catching up on news and seeing how this tea room does. We get kind of picky with what they serve and how.

Paula, I hope you have a good time with Katie and safe travels. I had thought she was going to spend the time alone.
Lizzy, I am so sorry about the time you are having with work. I have friends who are teachers that I scrapbook with, but we don't usually discuss their job. Except one who teaches Kindergarten. She has some really funny stories, but about the kids, not her co-workers. Anyway, I think a get away with Terry sounds nice and it might just help.
Rhonda, I spent all day in the yard and forgot to fill the bird feeder. I only have one that has thistle seed. It is a very busy feeder though. I saw a lot of Robins yesterday, but they seem to just want worms and bugs. I will need to get my hummer feeder out soon, if it continues to stay warm.
Laurie, the card is really nice. I have an idea for mine, but not sure when I will get to it. I have to focus on the crop projects. Maybe this evening. I want to do the cuts for the little journal(s) I bought. I might be able to work on those at the crop. Hadn't thought about that. I haven't picked paper yet, but maybe I will do that this afternoon when I get home.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi friends! My co-teaching today was very good. I truly believe my chronic tiredness and the end of the trimester have done a super-number on me. I am ready for a big break! LOL My patience is running thin and I should count to ten silently. I am quick to anger...I always have been...and quick to cool off. It's my nature. Luckily, I am a forgiver, but it's the quick to anger part that isn't so lovely. Thankfully tomorrow is Friday.

I did find out today that I have my same job for next year...I am so thankful and excited! A new colleague has been added to 4th grade named Lily. She is a gem...a lovely, happy, positive woman and I'm thrilled to have her as a colleague! Otherwise, our 4th grade team will stay the same.

This afternoon, I got my sleep study monitor which I will use tonight. He will pick it up in the morning, they will analyze the data, and then determine if I need the C-PAP machine. He said the machines are really different than they used to be, etc. I told him about my sleep issues and he fully understood.

Pat, did you get to the tea room today? How was it?

Laurie, how does the job search go?

Paula, how is Abby's foot? How about her eye? We need to take Ruby into the vet, too. She is overdue for some shots.

Rhonda, are you working right now?

Nancy, how was the St. Patrick's Day party?

Tomorrow morning, my students will be doing some writing and then Monday and Tuesday, taking tests. Wednesday of next week, they have some fun time outdoors scheduled. Thursday afternoon they have a big awards day scheduled. I haven't decided who is getting awards, and I have to do that tomorrow. I also have to take yearbook photos net week for our class. Yep...it will be a busy week! It will likely fly past!

I also have my second formal observation on Tuesday, but I am honestly not worried about it. It is in math and I am pretty comfortable doing it. Plus what we did today in my co-teach helped me to get prepared for some of what I want to do in that.

OK...enough of my chatter. I'll check in tomorrow.

Good morning!

I meant to get on yesterday but it was just crazy yesterday.

Laurie I like you card. Very nice! I got the paper picked for my spring card but that is as far as I have gotten.

Pat I walked around picking up pinecones from the yard yesterday. Boy are there a lot of them. I just have a few left at the back of the yard. Then I will need to get them in a bag. I also have a few leaves to rake up. It will be beautiful this weekend here too. If it weren't for the crop I would spend the day in the yard. I may have Carter rake up the leaves for me. HOw did your page kits come along?

Lizzy so sorry about your mix up with the coaching gig. I am glad it worked out for you. The St. Patrick's Day party is actually today. I have my project planned as well as some green food:)

Paula I did get my numbers cut. I hope you had a safe trip to the cabin and you have a wonderful time!

Rhonda I did not get much time to play with my camera. I have so much on my list my head is spinning! LOL I wish we had a blood donation center that was more convenient. Ours is in a bad place. It is hard to find parking (even though they have parking just for it, spaces are limited) and right downtown so it is busy. It sounds like everyone is having very nice weather.

We may break a record for the earliest recorded temp over 80*. The record was back in 1910 on March 24th at 82*. Crazy weather! I can't believe the kids are playing in the sandbox in March!

Well I have our green project planned. I decided I will mix glue with shaving cream and a little green paint. THe shaving cream then dries puffy! It is a fun way to paint!

I have a big list to try and accomplish today. I suppose it doesn't all have to be done today, but I want to get as much done as possible. Dye the applesauce and milk green. First thing is to get the wallets cut so they will be ready for the invites. I also need to fix my ATG gun. The adhesive ripped in the gun so I have to take out the used paper and rethread it. I also need to get the baked beans started this afternoon since that is what I am bringing for the potluck. THose I have to do today. I would like to make my spring card, play with my new lens, get my tax papers in the mail, bring my mom her new tv (not during work of course, maybe tonight), well maybe that is about it so maybe it won't be so bad.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Hi friends...it's before work...I did the sleep study thing last night, but I'm not convinced I had it all set up correctly and it worked correctly. Oh well....I guess we can do it again. It wasn't bothersome at all; a small monitor on my chest; but I thought the green light was supposed to stay on and it didn't; instead it was a red light. So I'm confused. The directions were a bit unclear.

Exciting weather on the way. It's supposed to begin tonight, I guess, but today will be coolish. Then, the rain will start tonight or early tomorrow. I'm so happy! Love anything different!!

I don't have much school work to do this weekend, except plan for my observation on Tuesday, so I am hoping to be able to hack at my "to do" list:

--grade last stack of writing
--put laundry away
--work on more laundry
--move scrapbook stuff upstairs
--move large tub into garage and put quilts into it
--decide which days I will take off in May since I am working in April for another teacher
--decide about trip to visit my Mom - if I go, it will be after my Florida trip BigGrin

Have a great St. Patrick's Day party, Nancy! It sounds like fun. Pat, finish up those page kits. Rhonda, I hope you continue to have good weather. Laurie, enjoy whatever comes your way...hopefully it isn't bad weather. Paula, I suppose you and Katie are up at the cottage.

I'll talk to everyone tomorrow or maybe later today.

good morning.. it is overcast and rain is in the forecast. I can live with it for one day. I am going to stay inside and work on the page kits and other things for the crop. I want to do the cuts for the little journal book projects, so I can work on them next weekend as a back-up project. They will involve modge podge, so I need to have something to work on. I am thinking a cookie sheet that I can set aside or even take to my room to dry out of the way. I will have to ponder this a bit. Anyway, crop prepping is my priority today.

Lizzy, your post was so uplifting. Much more positive than you have sounded recently. You go girl!! I understand the need for the rain in socal. I am pretty sure Norcal is also well below what they need. That would be according to my Mom.

Nancy, you are going to have a busy day, but you are always so well prepared and under control. I have a corned beef to cook tomorrow, but I need to get cabbage. Our plan is to work in the yard since it will be mid 70's. Sunday, the electrician will be here to install 2 bathroom lights and install the outlets on the deck. We might put the cover on the gazebo, but I am not sure. I don't think we are going to have any amount of snow in the next few weeks. Sunday afternoon, Stephanie is having a Tastefully Simple party. I said I would come, so she invited us to stay for dinner also.

Tea yesterday was very nice. I always enjoy getting together with my friend Linda. Anyway, the tearoom was new to us, and our experience was not the best. The food was tasty, but not up to tea room standards. The bread she used was too thick for tea sandwiches. We also had to request several things like silverware and a plate. As we were finishing up, the owner asked us if this was our first time having afternoon tea and how was everything. Don't ask the question, if you don't want the answer is my theory, so we told her we go to tea often and I used to own a tea room. The look on her face was priceless. On the positive side, she was very receptive to our thoughts, but she made a lot of excuses that were not acceptable in our opinions.
Anyway, it is not a tearoom that is convenient for me to just drop in for tea & scones, so not likely I will go back any time soon.

Time to get busy here. Hope everyone has a great day.

Lizzy YAY for just a little school work! Sorry about the sleep study thing. They should have a number you can call anytime to ask any questions you need to. Enjoy your rain!

Pat sorry about your not so great tea room experience. If I owned a tea room I would take everything you told me and help make my tearoom better. I hope your crop prepping is going well. I think a cookie sheet sounds like a good idea.

All the green things went well today. I also just got my pictures cut and have been playing with my spring card. I am just waiting for one little one to stop messing around and rest nice so I can grab something to eat. Then I need to fix my ATG gun.

My screen door handle broke today. I locked it because my 2 YO kept opening it and I didn't want pinched fingers or an escapee. When Riley came home from lunch I couldn't get it unlocked so Riley got the screw driver out and took the handle off for me. I stuck a rag through the hole so we could open it. I guess we will be stopping to get a new handle tonight.

Here are my spring cards. I made 2 the same (besides the paper) so I have one for my stash. The first one I fiddled with what seemed like forever choosing the right flower and the second one came together in a matter of minutes. I actually wasn't going to do a second one because the first one took a while but when I was picking up I saw a paper that might work and I just put it together.

I think I am done getting my things together for the crop and I have everything I need done for now.

Hello everyone!

Nancy, i love all the different patterns in your cards. They turned out really nice. I bet your green day is fun for the kids. Sorry about the door handle. that will happen to me probably because my lock sticks sometimes. You're doing a crop this weekend too Nancy?

Pat, so sorry to hear of your experience with the tearoom. I found one by accident yesterday morning in KY but they weren't open yet. I will have to find someone to go there with me sometime. I am going to be working with Modge Podge today too.

Lizzy, I agree with Pat about your post. I am so sorry you have been having such a hard time. I hope your test last night was done right and you won't have to do it again. Sure hope they find somehting to help with your sleeping.

It's cloudy here today but it's 65* so not too bad. We haven't had any storms today. Hopefully we won't. We were ok overnight too.

The job search...hmmmm...not fun LOL Most places now do only online apps and you have to fill them out for every company just about. That is very time consuming. There's jobs out there, that's not the problem. I have applied to at least 5 every day...11 yesterday! Most of them are in the Cinci area which could be why I'm not getting calls. But I will. I did have an interview yesterday that didn't work out well because I couldn't do the physical work of the job. It's a small warehouse where the bread that is taken from stores just before their exp date is taken too and sent to prisons. The job was for what they call a Stale Checker. I would have to check all the loaves to make sure their dates were still good, separate them by brand and then put them on those plastice trays that you see when the bread company is in a store. I would have had to have stacked them to 6 feet high. The problem is, with my bad shoulder I couldn't raise my left arem high enough. Also, I would have to then put them on a dolly and it weighs almost 200 lbs. Too heavy for me. IT was PT 12:00 to 6pm, Tue, Thu, Fri and Sat. I wouldn't have minded that schedule. The owner was just afraid that I would get hurt and he's probably right. Oh well. I have applied to admin jobs that say you need to know Excel. I can work with Excel but I have not had formal training so I'm not sure about using the formulas. But if it's using Excel with the formulas already in there, I can do that. So, we'll see.

really, right now I am up for anything. I'm so tired of sit down jobs. I want to be tired from physical labor when I get home...not exhausted from sitting down all day. My butt doesn't need that LOL

well, that's it for now. I should just say

The End LOL

Later!

Nancy, the cards are great. The papers are perfect together. Did you utilize scraps. I got all my cuts done for the little journal books. I did enough for 6 although I only have 3 books. I might go over to M's after dinner and see if they still have the ones for 50c. I think a cookie sheet will work well for the modge podging. Make it easy to move it to a spot for drying. I have a case of cookie sheets from when I did the advent calendar classes.

I am working now on one more page kit. I found a page map that is perfect for gingerbread house decorating LO's.

.........much later.. well, I had a visit from a guy who does awesome ponds who's booth we visited at the home show, so this got left hanging. Then Jim came home and we went and got dinner and then to M's for more books (they had only a few left) and Target for vitamins and dried strawberries. Home and I had forgotten I had left this unfinished.

Laurie, I can't imagine applying for all those jobs. I hope something comes your way soon that fits. Do try the tea room if you can. It can be very enjoyable if done right. The one I went to yesterday, just wasn't what we expected based on reviews. But it wasn't horrible. She will get it right eventually.

I just did a post and it disappeared before I got to send it.

Pat, I think I am going to go to the tearoom with a Friend either next week or the week after. The tables by the window were set very pretty.

Anyone have an idea what to do with 2 small bags of meyer lemons? I bought 2 bags for a friend of mine who said she can never find them. Well she did, the same day so I now have 2 bags. I'm not only looking for sweet recipes but also recipes for entrees. Anyone?

I've been watching basketball since 2 this afternoon. I must walk away! LOL

Later!

Laurie, I love Meyer lemons. Use them whenever I can get them, which is usually from my sister in CA. She has a HUGE tree. This time of the year I can usually find them at Costco. Anyway, I use them the same as any lemon recipe. I have a lot of sweet recipes made for Meyers. I use them to make lemonade with splenda.
I can't seem to get going on anything this evening, so I am going to put some letters through the xyron, so they don't get lost.

good morning everyone.. got up early and tried to catch up on emails and other odds/ends on the computer. I had to wait for a Firefox update, so that through me off.

Didn't get as much done last night as I had wanted before I called it quits. Had hoped to get the letter for the journal book project put through the xyron, but there they still sit on the cutting mat. I need to get them off my mat, so they will get done today.

Nancy, have a fun time at your crop today. Hope you get the invites all done and can do the LO's. I love a crop where I work on one project and can get it all done. Since I quite doing swaps, I don't have thoe multiple items unless I am working on holiday cards. Yesterday one of my regular crop table mates invited all of us to crop at her house the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. There are 5 of us and we would do pot luck for dinner and everyone bring a snack to share. So far everyone can make it, so now we have to make the plans. I am not sure how much room she has, so I will have to figure out what I would take to work on. Maybe CFS or my holiday cards.

What is everyone else doing today? Rhonda, you have been quiet? I hope everything is ok??? We will be in the yard this weekend. How about you?

I was up late last night and am up early today...but, hey, it's the weekend! I watched "The Help" last night and I'd say they did a pretty good job of staying true to the book.

I looks like it rained last night, but it isn't raining right now. I was hoping for torrential rains all day long. Bummer! They are predicting lots more rain today, though. They'd better not be playing with me here!

Pat, your talk of crops is making me soooooo jealous! I miss going to those. These days it's just Kelly and me, not that those don't make me happy, but I miss the camaraderie of a larger group.

Not much other news here...picking up Terry at the airport in the early afternoon, working on my small amount of schoolwork, maybe some laundry, napping on and off...watching it rain (I hope).

In the meantime, everyone else take care!

Good morning all...

Nancy, have a good time at your crop. I know you will get a lot done. I know you will be glad to have the invites already done, so you can concentrate on other planning for the big day.

Pat, have fun in the yard today. I will be heading out there today as well. Sounds like you will have a great crop coming up Memorial Day weekend. How fun!!! Hope you get the letters put through the Xyron.

Laurie, you sure have been busy with applications. Enjoy the meyer lemons. I make a light cupcake with fresh lemons that I really love. The recipe only makes 4 cupcakes so I don't have so many sitting around tempting me.

Paula, hope you and Katie are having a nice weekend.

Lizzy, enjoy your weekend. You have sure earning some relaxing time this weekend. Have you decided about the Florida trip and the visit to your mothers?

I need to pay a few bills, then I will go to my craft desk to try and get my challenge card completed. I already have an idea. Then will head outside for some work out there. Also need to get groceries at some point this weekend as I didn't make it this week. Last nights hydrobics class was a great one. The instructor last night is 68 but he can sure put you through the paces. He gives the best classes. But I sure was beat after class last night so I just relaxed and read and listened to the basketball game.

Ok, better stop chatting here and get busy or nothing will get done. Will check in later.

Good morning everyone!

I see Rhonda and Lizzy are here this morning. Hope to hear from you both! What are you doing up so early Lizzy?

Pat, do you have a tried and true lemon scone recipe to share? I bought the lemons because you rave about them every year when your Sister sends them to you. I bought 1 bag to use in my water last week but I bought these 2 for my friend. So now I have 2 bags and I want to put them to good use. How many lemons and how much Splenda do you use for 2 quarts of lemonade? I was going to make some last night but wasn't sure how much to use. I will be looking for a lemon piccata chicken recipe today.

I can hear cardinals outside this morning. Sadie has her nose out the open window watching them. With all the sun and rain we've had, everything is so green...I love it! I hate the brown of winter. The red bud tree across the street is blooming as are the buds on my lilac tree. I want to do some painting today, work on shower invites and work in the yard today so I think I will be busy all day!

Well, I guess I should get started.

Hope everyone has an awesome Saturday!

Later!

Good evening...

Hope everyone had a good day.

Welcome home Paula! Glad you and DH could enjoy such a nice long walk. I'll bet the pier was beautiful!

Laurie, the recipe is on my pinterest board for recipes. It is Lemon Cream cupcakes for two. If you can't get it let me know and I will copy and paste for you. They are so easy to make and lots of flavor. And I love that is just 4 small cupcakes in a batch.

I did get out in the yard and picked up all the small limbs etc that came down in the winds. I did pull a few weeds. Then Wade came by and he fixed the fuel line on my tiller so I am ready to work up patches of lawn that will need reseeding. I did get the bills paid, groceries bought and got my challenge card made. I will post a picture here in a minute. This evening I have been going through old pictures again.

What did everyone else do today?

Welcome home Paula! What a great walk you guys had!

Rhonda, I will check out the recipe. Your card is adorable! That should cheer someone up!

I did get in my room today and painted another art journal page. I'm too chicken to start on my Nephew's painting LOL

I've been watching basketball and searching Pinterest most of the day. Can't do that tomorrow!

Later!

Rhonda, I really like your double winner card!! Those mice are the cutest and the colors really pop!!

Pat, you are right, Katie stayed at the cottage by herself. I took her there, we cleaned up the animal party mess (there was even more than the last time we were there). The trap my dad gave me jammed and a mouse was smooshed with part on each side of the paddlewheel so 1. I had to pry it out 2. We only caught one cause it was jammed up. However we knew it wasn't a mouse having the critter party because of 1. they potty messes left behind 2. it knocked things off of the fireplace mantle which a mouse could not have done 3. Many items were stolen and hidden in the sofa beds 4. it pulled the stuffing out of a couch cushion and made a bed in it. and the number 5 thing that chinched our hunch.....a squirrel jumped out of a drawer and ran through the cottage!!! hahaha Katie had come back from fishing and heard a noise so she opened the drawer and it jumped out and took off!!!
After I left Katie I went to my friends who is here from TX staying with her mom who had back surgery. I spent the night there and then went to my dads and spent Friday night. Today I went back to get Katie, we both helped BIL and SIL move some boxes (one truck and van load) in to their new house then we took off. I thought we would help more but we got a late start and Katie wanted to be back earlier than I thought.
So, that was my adventure.

Nancy, it sounds like you went all out for green day. You do such fun things with your kids!!
Hope things went well croppin!

Pat, sorry the tea room wasn't the experience you were hoping for. Sounds like you got some good friend time in though!

Laurie, I don't remember, what are you painting for your nephew?
Hang in there with the job hunting, you will find something that fits!

Lizzy, I hope you got DH home safe and sound.
I agree with you about The Help, I thought they did a really good job with it. I felt that way about The Time Traveler's Wife too.

Off to bed, I am ready for my own bed and a good night's rest. (although it is so quiet at my dad's house way out in the country, I slept quiet well) (I always hear the highway noise here and it really bugs me!!!)

Good morning all..

Paula, you had an exciting trip. I don't think I would want a squirrel running around my home. What a shock to open a drawer have one pop out and run around! Hope the new trap works better this time.

Laurie, I watched some of the basketball games yesterday, but really only as background noise. Sure glad I didn't bet any money on the brackets. So many top seeded teams loosing!

What is everyone else up to today?

I am going to get some coffee and read the paper. Then back to office to craft or do research. Or maybe some of both!

Good morning ladies!

Looks like another nice day. Love

It was really nice walking down by the lake last night. There were so many people out.

I brought the card parts I had prepped for the crop north with me and I completed 24 cards while I was at my dads while we visited. I gave DS's GF hers last night, she really liked them.

Today is open. We should probably walk around the yard and pick up some branches. Don't know what else is in store for the day.

I was checking out airfare to NY for our nephew's graduation in June. Wow! is it high!!

good morning~~ the morning is trying to go down hill and I need to get control. Too much to do today.
Paula, welcome back home. Sounds like a crazy few days with squirrels and all that mess. My neighbor had them in her attic. It was quite a job getting them out. WTG on the walk down to the pier. Is that 3.6 mi round trip or one way?

Laurie, I need to look up the lemonade recipe amounts. I just saw it the other day. My sister makes it by the glass, but then when you have a tree, you can do that. She juices a lemon, tops the glass off with water and adds sweetener if needed. As for lemon scones, I use my basic scone recipe that I just add different ingredients to. For lemon scones it is all about the zest. LOTS of it!!

Lizzy, I know what you mean about cropping with more people. I like to get ideas from others and see what they are working on. Nice thing about this group of ladies, is we will all get a lot done. We see each other often enough that we don't spend a lot of time catching up and we all know each others scrapbooking habits. I think it will be fun to be just all of us and not the interruptions that come with a crop we pay to go to. Like door prize drawings for more crap we don't need and constant announcements. We will see.

Rhonda, we got a lot of work done yesterday in the yard. We got the entire pond area cleaned up and the pond cleaned out. Then we worked on the bed across the back of the house which is about 100 ft. This week is going to be hard, because I am going to be working on scones with my friend on Tuesday. We are testing 4 scone recipes and will try to get pictures. I need to get Jim to make lemon curd as well.

I better get back to work here. I got all the letters through the xyron last night. I am going to take a few minutes and put everything I need for the journal book projects into a ziplock bag.

Pat, that distance was round trip. Today we went to another beach and walked almost two miles but since we were walking on the beach it was a much harder walk. And you have to go over a small sand dune to get to it.
Did you say you used modge podge on the journals? I haven't seen that and am eager to hear how they turn out.

We had hamburgers on the grill today, it felt good, just feels like a summer thing.
