JCI... sunny and warm here... too warm actually, I'm ready for the AC in my craft room.

Pat, that must be something in the air or water in MD. My DD is the same way. I know that she stops once in a while, and I'm not sure you do...LOL

Hellos to all the Queens!!!!

Stay safe!

good afternoon.. trying to get all my stuff gathered up so I can get it packed. Won't be leaving until mid afternoon, so I have plenty of time, but I don't want to leave it until the last minute. I am hoping I can be productive since everything is totally disorganized. Pretty sure paper is going to be my biggest problem. I just can't know what I am going to need. Hoping the page kits, which have paper, will be enough to keep me busy the whole crop.

Deb, I'm going to hope if I need a cut, the crop machine will be available. I am taking the carts I might need and will leave them in my room though. We also have to have our own mat, so I have put it in. It is so much easier to do a day crop and just take a prepared project to work on. This is probably going to be my last weekend crop.

Gramma, I just noticed you stopped by while I was typing. Hmmmm, wonder if maybe I have passed your dd on the beltway. BigGrin

time to get back to the packing.

Hi! Hope everyone is doing well!

Phyllis~Hope you made it to IN safely! I can totally see crafts in the shop. Perfect for the guys that buy something big for themselves and then decide they better get the wife/girlfriend something too. Make sure she puts some cards up for sale too!

Deb~Glad you enjoyed your getaway! Anymore planned anytime soon?

Renate~No time to rest here, at least not enough. My list of things to do just gets longer and longer. Good luck on that weed control! I bet the magnolia bush is lovely! Hope the doc appt went well. And a woohoo to you for working on that resolution list!

Pat~Glad things came together for for your crop. I can be easily sidetracked too...especially when I need to get something done that I really don't feel like doing!

Gramma~I'll try and remember to check out the blog on the 24th! are you about ready to get out on the golf course too! Kind of funny about wanting the AC on in March!

I'm my usual tired self but very thankful tomorrow is Friday. Another bonus vacation day for me tomorrow with co-worker being off! I'll be going in for 3 so I expect to be tired tomorrow too! Will probably go grocery shopping and maybe Sam's shopping after work tomorrow. Not sure what the weekend will bring. I think spring cleaning. Heading up to my room soon to hopefully come up with a 2nd card idea for April. Did some laundry today & snuck in a short nap. The Badgers play tonight and I'm hoping to be able to watch at least most of the game. My niece was to find out if she's having a girl or boy today. Waiting for the news!

Jess

Hope everyone has a great rest of their evening......

Hi Castle
Got back from VA last night. We did our part of the redo project --new shower, tile floor, vanity w/ sink. The rest VA DD needs to finish - otherwise we'd be there til June!
Pat - have great time at your crop - remember to have fun and relax and not worry about what you are finishing or not finishing.
Deb - We are living parallel lives = too much time in a vehicle, very tired dog, pile of laundry. Going to the beach during someone's spring break -- yup doing that soon too. PA DD and family arrive next Thursday so Beach and Disney World are on my calendar....... We have not gotten up to the panhandle yet - it's on my list tho'.
Gramma - I am refusing to turn on my a/c so far! It is still cool enough at night.
Phyllis - hope your friend sells some things at the shop. Will you supply anything to sell? I still am going to order a leash holder for Sammy - who by the way was perfect on our VA trip and the grands were great with her too.
Jess - You need slow down too! I get exhausted just reading your posts!! Hope you have a good day tomorrow w/o coworker.Forgot BB is on tonight. My fav team is out but my bracket is still alive.
Renate - Yay for the shrinkage and med decrease. Bet your yard is looking beautiful.
Have a greatrest of the night.
Joanne

Hi, just a quick note before it's time for bed. I did cut the grass in the back tonight. We might get rain.
Pat and Phyllis are out of town and hopefully having a blast.
Deb, I think it's the same bridge. Once you are on the other side it is just sand, water and birds. I'm glad the area is re-built.
Jess, I need to get serious about my list which is hard with so much to do. The flowers on the magnolia bush are already dropping and making room for the leaves. I took a picture (my avatar)just in time. Yes, routine appointment went well. Woo hoo on the bonus vacation day, maybe it will become a regular thing??
Gramma, I turned the AC on for a little while this evening, my craft room felt stuffy. It will cool down over the weekend, we've had record breaking temps all week.
Joanne, going to the beach sounds wonderful.--Wonderful is not a word I would use to describe my yard. The only things pretty are the magnolia bush and the tree. I have lillies, they grow beautiful. The wild rabbits in my addition love to eat them. They take off running when I leave for work. I have tried things to keep them away but no luck.
Good night to all. Renate

good morning all... just checking in real quick before I get ready to head over to the crop. Decided to take my laptop and not my tablet,so I should be able to check in now and then. I want to have access to my page maps and other inspiration files that are NOT on the tablet. I need to put them on a flash drive, so I can access them on the tablet.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, if I miss you.

Happy Friday.....
Joanne I agree too many miles in too short a time....however I do enjoy lots of 'short trips' vs 'one long trip'.....glad the pooch was good and the grands were sweet to the pup.....
Pat I am sure you are loaded and headed out if not you won't be long......have a great weekend....
Gramma did you cut the a/c on?
Phyllis have a great time.....
Happy last work day for Jess and Renate this week.....
We had wonderful rain yesterday, last night and this morning.....hubby and I got moved cars, swept and washed out the garage......then I moved to the front porch.....looks better with less yellow.....after lunch I will hit the patio for a good cleaning and put away what I can......I know we won't be free of pollen for a while, but it sure is nice to breath a bit easier today....
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and might check in later.....

No AC yet Deb... I have to pick a day when DS is available to put it in the window... Supposed to cool off a little this weekend so hoping I can put it off til later.
Hoping Pat has a wonderful crop... I'd like to try a day crop for card makers sometime, but I think I'm the only one near me.. most are scrappers.
Glad to see you landed back in FL Joanne. I'll bet nickels your DD in VA misses you all ready and that DD in Erie wishes she was all ready there in FL. Send reports on Jocelyn's reaction to Disney.. she and DGS are about the same age.
Jess... you are waaaaay too busy.. you need to take vacay from your vacay at work! Did the Badgers win yesterday? They were playing the Orange and were ahead when I quit watching.
DH is making soup for supper, have I mentioned that soup is one of my favorite meals... This doesn't mean that I don't have a lot of favorites.. take out is right up there too!
Put a couple of CFS cards on my blog yesterday.. check it out if you have a minute.
Hellos to the rest of the Queens.

Gramma it came up for me (Renate's b'day) on my FB page.....

Supper almost done....ham is baked, cooled and off the bone, 4 layer delight for dessert done and chilling and now I need to fix a few potatoes to go with the meat.....need to make a batch of bread up too......

Jess congrats on the 'new family member' to be.....we may make a trip to a car show or my cousin's next month....just depends on which hubby wants to do.....if the car show wins, we will go south again in May sometime....just have to work it in....

Bought me a blank car tag for my car last month, finally got the vinyl cut today and put on the car....got a 25 min bike ride in too.....but boy is the pollen back again....sure was nice to have a few hours of clean air....

Well have a great rest of your Saturday, off to get a shower.....

Hello in the Castle
Happy Birthday Renate - Have a great day!
Gramma - Joc has been to Disney several times already since she used to live here, and she loves it. Although this year she does not want to go see the fairies (she doesn't want to be shrunk!!!) We usually only do Magic Kingdom.
Deb - What did you put on your license plate? We only do one plate here also and I have never done a fancy front plate - not even sure I still have the front bracket.
Sure are a lot of dragons lurking about the castle these days - Gramma and Jess -both are so cute!
Jess - hope your weekend is going as planned - do you have a stamp camp?
Pat - Hope you enjoying your crop. Good idea to load files for the crop on a thumb drive. I need to remember that!
Hi to Phyllis - Hope you're having a fun time in Fort Wayne.
Got to paradise last night. It's been awhile and it was good to be back. Worked on my Treasure Hunt Book. Also have Easter cards to do and CFS. CFS is designed just have to cut the pieces.
Still working on the laundry...
Joanne

Happy Sunday Queens... the Castle here is cool and the sky is quite overcast.
Thanks Joanne for liking our dragons. Its an acquired taste. LOL
Trying to make some photo corners w/o a punch... thinking I'd better see if I have a cart with some on it...Big bdays coming soon for DB and DSIL, 70 and 60 respectively. Trying to go outside the box for their cards...
Funny story(IMHO)... We went out to dinner with my bro and wife last night. While we were sitting there I asked my SIL if she had noticed the ages of the people in the room... her reply was a raised eyebrow. I said to her then... do you realize that we're as old as they are? Reality hit me smack in the face just like that.... Holy crap!
#1DGD went to allergist and got cleared for allergies... now to my horror they are doing blood tests for "other" immune suppressing maladies... I am trying not to get my bvd's in a knot until the tests come back... but some of the possible alternatives scare the help out of me.
OK... now, have a great day!

Gramma glad to hear that DGD has no allergies, but sorry to hear she has to have blood test....maybe it is something 'simple', keep us posted.....you are too funny about getting the 'bvd's in a knot'...
I hear you about 'everyone being older'...where have all the years gone......can't believe DGD will be 18 this year.....
It is cooler here today too....about 70*....DGD came by, 'pawpaw' gave her some cash for clothes and a little to spend at the beach....she is going with her friend/her mom tonight/just a short trip for spring break.....sent two loaves of bread with her too....good thing I had just baked bread again today....

Thank you for the birthday wishes. We had a nice dinner with the family but missed DS and his family at the East coast. DH has a birthday this Saturday so we celebrated it too. I wonder too where the years have gone. Let me know if you find them lol.
I've gone back to my scanning project today but am done with it for today. Will I ever get caught up...
Gramma, good luck with the blood test. I hope it's something simple.
Deb, cool here too, in the 60s. It's been a while since you talked about baking bread. Glad DGD got to take some with her.
Joanne, how are all the scrapbooking/CFS projects coming along?
Jess, have a good workweek.
Hello to the rest of the ladies.

good morning.. beautiful sunny one, but we have a freeze warning tonight. Give it up Mother Nature...

My weekend was about like Jess'. Not near as productive as I had hoped/planned to be. Lots of annoying interruptions. I have never waned to choke so many people in all my crop times.

I will try to catch up later. I need to get some laundry going and Jim is working from home (rumbly in his tummy). I need to make a PO run later to mail a packet and then get my stuff un packed.

Good morning, sun is out, a bit cooler here but still very nice. Off shortly for a few hours of 'open stamp' where I go to card class.....we can use her stamps/punches but we furnish our papers, inks, etc. Just a good time to get some 'new' stuff for cards......hope everyone has a great day, later....

Good morning
Busy weekend here also. Got the front garden weeded and filled up the huge trash bucket - so now I have to wait til it gets emptied to do the back. Got to play in my room some and made a bunch of family Easter cards.
Deb - your license plate sounds cute. Bet it looks good on that bug of yours! Hope DGD has some fun at the beach. Nice that PawPaw gave her some cash :-)
Gramma Hope it is not anything serious with DGD#1. I hear you on that age thing too. And it appears to happen overnite too.
Hope Pat had a good crop. That lady needs some time for herself - and apparently so does Jess -- Oh Hi Pat, I see you snuck through. Sorry your crop didn't go so well - some people just need to get a life...
Guessing Phyllis is still in Indiana --
Have a good work week Jess and Renate.
Need to go clear out the guest room for PA DD...

The sun is shining, but the birds aren't singing. 17 degrees with the windchill outside. We're supposed to get a hard frost tonight. The fruit tree growers are panicking because some of the trees, (especially cherry trees)are in blossom.
Then it looks like we may get high's in the low 60's for the next ten days. EGAD!
My try at making photo corners paid off... I put liquid pearls on some to simulate nail heads and I ran the others through my cuttlebug with the mesh folder. They actually look OK.
Pat , I'm not surprised at the interruptions... when you're the most knowledgeable person in the room that happens a lot. I wonder why I never get interruptions?
Hellos to all the rest of the Castle....

Joanne I think DGD has her pawpaw right where he wants her to have himBigGrin
Gramma I can't believe your temps.....yikes......
Pat sorry you had the interruptions at your crop......hope Jim feels better this afternoon....
Hello to Jess and Renate....
Made it to the open stamp day, I was 'it'....but that was okay, used some of her stamps/punches I don't have, made one card, did a template for a 'shirt' and bought some paper....
Hubby picked up some BBQ's for supper, just picked enough lettuce from the little garden for a salad...
Washed my car, put new floor mats in, really need to vacuum it out but won't do any good til this pollen is gone.....and I am headed for a short bike ride.
Later.....

good evening. Not much going on.
Let's see, Gramma is cold (no AC for a while).
Joanne got to play in the craft room woo hoo .
Deb made a card and got to use punches and stamps. Do you have lettuce in your garden already?? Hope the pollen will be a thing of the past soon.
Pat sorry about your disappointing weekend, especially when you worked so hard to prepare for it. Hope DH is better.
Thank you Jess. Had a good time with the family. I opened my tablet and tried to get familiar with it. It's almost like my phone. I got some accessories for it. I hope the rest of the week goes better for you.
It was cool here too and a little windy. My morning was sooo busy at work, then took DH for his dental cleaning and that took care of the afternoon. I went over the taxes (sorry Phyllis, but we can't ignore them much longer)and discovered that I forgot one number. It brought the 'State tax owed' to a small refund.
I am beat and will turn in shortly.

Morning Jess......hope your day is good....
Hope Phyllis is having a great time and being productive with things for her friend to sale....
Hello to Pat, Joanne and anyone that might stop by.
We are off this morning to Kohl's, I need some summer clothes and hubby is going to tag along to see if he can find anything for his closet too.....not like he needs any shirts....

good morning.. chilly here, but full sun, so it is ok. We had frost/freeze in the area last night. I think it was harder over towards the mountains and up to the PA border. Have to keep remembering it is still March.

I have moved on re the not so productive crop. I had a good time with my tablemate whom I have been cropping with for years. We kind of kept each other from going off the deep end.

Gramma, the interruptions were just people being rudely noisy. The large group behind us were bickering about cell phones going off during the night in the hotel rooms, someone snoring, people coming in from the crop late to go to bed blah blah blah. I don't know how many shared each room (they hood up to 4), but it just got tiresome hearing them complain. One girl complained for several hours because the hotel doesn't tell you up front that your cell phone will de-activate your plastic room key card if they are next to each other.

I am attaching a picture of 2 of the items I worked on. They are 5x7 journal type books I got at M's for 50c. The idea for the words was on Pinterest and done on a small chalk board. I am going to do them on a white board to give as gifts. I have a boatload of people who will LOVE it. I also will give the books as gifts.

Those are perfection Pat... perfect gift for a busy queen like yourself and Jess, and Phyllis, and Joanne, and Deb, and Renate... everyone it seems, but me... who is never that busy and loving every second of it! I'm sure your friends will love them too!
Jess, sorry about the bad day at work... I can remember a few days where the bottom was over my head... don't miss that at all.
DDIL called earlier... the allergist said Ashlynn's(#1DGD) pneumonia antibodies were on the low side. They recommended an adult pneumonia vaccine for her with follow up after 4 weeks. Better than some of the scenarios I had running through my mind if they're right. She is home today again 26th day missed of school.
Sunny and cold here today... heavy frost last night.
Have a great day!
Hugz,
Gramma

Hi everyone, just got home a couple hours ago, I'm pooped. We didn't get ANY of the projects done that we had planned, just too much going on at her house this time. Long story. We had an enjoyable time together though, just never enough time. I had to go out and buy a sweatshirt, didn't take enough warm clothes, I knew the temps were going to be cooler but not as cold as it got.

I'll have to catch up later, I really could use a nap, LOL.
