Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to set up my new Gypsy if I don't have Design Studio on my computer. Is there a way to update my Cricut firmware without Design Studio? Sorry if this seems like a silly question but I am not sure how to get my Gypsy synced to my cricut without Design Studio. I am probably missing something. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

you don't use ds to update your g. it hooks to your computer via a usb cord and then you open the gypsy sync software (install this on your computer first) and it will update the g. hth

HelloBigGrin

Your Gypsy does not work in conjunction with DS. DS is it's on software program. Gypsy Sync is a download that you can keep on your desktop and this is what you use to update your Gypsy.

Once your Gypsy is updated, you then connect your Gypsy to your Cricut machine. The gypsy will prompt you through updating your Expression's firmware if needed.

I hope this helps in anyway, if you have more questions please feel free to pm me BigGrin

I'm going to find you the link for the gypsy sync program...be right back :)
