I thrned it on and it will not go off. how do you turn it off?

When you press the black button on the side of the Gypsy you should see a message box that asks if you want to Stand-By, Turn Off or Cancel. You then press Turn Off. If pressing the black button isn't doing anything unscrew the base off your Gypsy stylus. You'll find a pin there. Push that pin into the little hole on the back of the Gypsy and it will power off.
