one question. I have a cricut personal and the designs studio and before I open them I need to know if you can use any svg file to use with the cutter. if you have to only buy cricut cartridges becasue if thats the case then I dont want this and want to sell it.

No, you can only use images from Cricut cartridges with the Cricut. Unfortunately it doesn't go both ways. You can cut svg's with a cricut but not vice versa. :(
