Has anyone tried the sock loom? I picked one up with a coupon at Js yesterday. I wanted to get the long KK looms, but they were out of stock. I have knitted socks on my LK 140, but I hate having to seam the side. I don't want to fumble around with double pointed needles to knit socks in the round, and thought this would be a good way to knit socks.
Has anyone seen the KK long looms anywhere?

I have one of those adjustable sock looms. http://www.knittingboard...mp;ProductCode=SOCK+LOOMIt's not my fav loom. I find the corners hard to work. These are the ones I'd like to get: http://www.dalooms.com/P...N&ProductCode=SK-EFGKK long looms are carried by Micheal's. Edited by user Tuesday, January 10, 2012 5:34:38 PM(UTC)

I'm going to try the sock loom and see. I watched the casting on part of the dvd, and it looks pretty simple to start out. Not sure when I will have time to start it, but I am hoping this week. I really need to finish my scarf first, which is coming along nicely.
I am interested in the KB long looms. They have them at my local Js but I want to use a coupon so I will have to wait until Sunday. I want to try the double knit and I have a lot of yarn in my stash to work up. Maybe I can make scarves for next year's Christmas gifts if I get good at it!

Forgot to add: There is not a Michaels close to me, so I am limited on getting something locally. Hate that. We used to have a Ms nearby but it closed. :(

Then check out Wally World in the knitting section. There are long looms the same size as KK but they are pastel colored. Im 2.5 hours from M's so when I found those for my niece, I was really happy. Amazon also carries all the kk looms. I order from them often!
