Help! I decided to use the Cricut Craft Room with my Cricut Cake Mini. It called for a firmware update, which I did. But now I can turn the machine on but nothing else works! I can't get the Craft Room to let me do another firmware update....just in case it didn't do it completely. I have no idea where to go from here.

Your machine is not dead, if you updated it through CCR. I don't know why they don't disable the update through CCR.
You need to do your update through Design Studio. If you don't have it already, just download the free trial and you will be able to update your machine. The mini is the same as the Create, just for food instead.
Use the trial version of Design Studio to update your machine, it will wipe out the update you did through CCR and will place the right update on your machine.

Thanks so much for the advice. I've probably spent four hours trying to fix my machine, but with your advice, in ten minutes I was up and running again. You've saved my Christmas!

Think I am about to get my cake mini to cut. Such a small thing as not knowing which machine to use....create...vs ??? The man hours us customers waste trying to solve problems that PC could elimate..I am so stress tonight...for 5 hours trying to cut decorations for one birthday cake...could use the Craft room with my cake, so decided use the gypsy.done it several times only tonight it said I had to update...tried and killed the machine to where I couldn't do it manually...I feel like throwing the cake n the trash and heading to Publix in the morning..I have thousand invested with PC and everytime you try a special project there is always a problem...thans for yur help
