Are these looms easy to learn? I am thinking of getting some for my 11 year old grandaughter. What would be a good beginner set?

I would buy her the 4 loom round set...you can use them and get your % off coupon.
They are pretty simple...you can use the basic stitch and get more intricate with other stitches and patterns as you go.

Search knifty knitter on Youtube and watch some of the tutorials. Very easy to learn and fun to do!

Last Wednesday evening, my 7-year-old sat next to me on the couch and asked if I would teach her to loom knit. I had planned on doing that the week after Christmas when she was still on holiday break, but I went on and showed her that night. While we watched TV together, she made a hat for her doll using a round loom. It was a simple project- rolled brim, gathered cast off, and only e-wrapping, but she was thrilled and her doll has been wearing it ever since.
I think this is perfect for kids. You can learn tons of new stitches and do complicated things, but you can also do simple, quick projects! It is a good craft that will grow with them.

Both my boy and girl love them and have made their own hats. Scarves take a little more time but hats go quick.
