8/18 UPDATE-- YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THE 2ND CHALLENGE. There seems to be some confusion with this part of the swap. Only 1 of your groups needs to relate to you. It can relate to you in ANYWAY, it doesn't matter.
My first theme is collage. I decided to do a collage using daylilies.
I will post a picture of this ATC and then tell how this collage ATC relates to me
If you still have questions, please send me a pm
2ND CHALLENGE-if you dare to take it
One of your ATCs must relate somehow to you personally.
For example: Kateroo did some ATCs that were of her father, GrammaP did one of Brewer's wharf in ME (owned by our grandfather) I have done a couple of Aruba (my favorite vacation spot). You can post your little story here on the thread along with a picture of the ATC once you have it done.
8/13 ALL UPDATES WILL BE POSTED HERE SO CHECK NOW AND THEN
If you think that your theme is way too hard, please let me know and we can pick your number from a reserve list. That's not saying the new theme will be any easier
Are you ready for another ATC challenge?
Actually, there will be 2 challenges this time around.
Many of the people that have participated in my ATC swaps along with those of GrammaP’s, want to be in any new swaps we open. Because of this, some groups are almost full. If you haven’t been in any of my swaps before, please read everything carefully before you commit.
I have a list of 25 different themes that I have put together for each group that I open. Each of these numbers has a theme ****igned to it.
For each group you sign up for, you will pick out a number from 1-25 and once that group is full, I will post the corresponding themes next to the person’s name and number. First come, first serve in regards to numbers (after myself and GrammaP of course). I will have my DH pick my numbers so I can be challenged also.
Anything goes as far as technique, color, and embellishments.
I will reveal the 2nd challenge after all the groups are full and the themes are ****igned. I promise it won’t be too difficult. (Sketch, color, technique, what will it be????)
You do not have to do this but I think it would be nice.
ATCs are 2 ½” X 3 ½” mini works of art that you decorate as you would a card. PLEASE, PLEASE use at least 2 layers of cardstock for your base to ensure the sturdiness of the ATC. Do your best work and make sure everything is trimmed and glued well.
We will be doing 12 ATCs per group. You will keep 1 and send 11 to me.
Due Date is Oct 15th. This is the last day for me to receive your ATCs, not a last mailing date. I will be strict with this. If life happens and you need to drop out, please let me know as soon as possible. Pm me for my address anytime if you don’t all ready have it.
IMPORTANT—Please subscribe to the thread and check in every couple of weeks. If I don’t hear from you, I will send you reminders until I do. Please realize that I am not trying to be pushy but want to make sure you are still in. You must have a good swap record. As in all my swaps, I have the right to refuse anyone if I think it will jeopardize the swap. This may seem harsh but part of my duty as hostess is to take care of my swappers and make sure they get what they signed up for. This eliminates stress for all of us. If you have any questions, fell free to ask.
Make sure you sign the backs of your ATCs. Most artists include a title, their MB name, date and number of card if it is part of a series (e.g., 1 of 12). Package each group in a separate baggie labeled with the group number and your MB name to facilitate the sorting. Please remember to add a return envelope along with postage. If you want me to re-use your same packaging, just send a return label and the postage.
FYI--- For those of you who do lots of sets, I have found that you can fit 4 sets of 11 or12 ATCs in one of the small USPS Priority Boxes. Cost is $4.95 (less if you do your postage online.)
I can do your return Priority online, including DC for $4.85. Include a note letting me know how you want shipping done.
