I need some veteran advise. I am trying to find information on the advantages of purchasing the expression 2 over the newest machine release, the mini. Other than the size of the project and thus the size of the machine, are there any other advantages? I will be using my machine for personal projects, mostly cards and scrapbooking. I would love to hear from those of you who have used the machines.

I don't have an E2 but I have a regular expression and the MINI. I am loving the mini - it's small and yet powerful. I've cut thick and think and no problems w/ the mini.
The biggest different is the Mini is for the use w/ CCR - while the E2 you can use regular cartridges just pop them in and go, or use a gypsy. The Mini doesn't yet work w/ the gypsy.
Good Luck and have fun.
PS Joanns has the E2 next week for 269.99.

Also you can use both Imagine and regular carts with the E2, you can only use regular carts with the Mini.

E2 uses 12X12" mat.
MINI uses 9X12" mat.
IT DEPENDS WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WITH YOUR MACHINE.
