It says in the ad for the new carts that the update is ready. Where would I find that? I usually just click on a link some nice person has posted! I am not very good at finding it! Thanks!

You want to go to the Cricut site and look under products, upper left hand corner, click on it and look for Design Studio (left hand side), Download updates. Let my try a link, try clicking HERE for the download. That should take you there! Check the old boards and see if anyone is having problems first. I haven't been able to find it either. The only one I can find is the August 2010 update.

I got the message about the font update but it wasn't from PC. I was hoping it would have the 3 carts latest carts that aren't actually in stock yet in the stores, but the latest one I saw was also the one from August. I rarely pre-order, but I decided to find a reasonable pre-order price for "Nifty Fifties", without driving myself nuts trying to save a few dollars. I ordered it for $42 from Memory Miser with free s/h. I've ordered from them a few times before and never had any real problems although I have heard from others on the board that they did experience some glitches. CharB So glad you the 50's cart! I need that one for 50's day for my kiddo's school. They do it up really big and have a huge 50's celebration for 50 days of school. They do this in place of Halloween. I am in charge of a big part of it this year. I won't have the cart in time to really do big things, so I am putting it on my wish list for next year. I will be lucky if I get my girls poodle skirts done in time this year! My son was easy..just slap on a white t and gel his hair and we were rockin!

I have just downloaded the Cricut update and Fonts update but have noticed that not all of the new releases are on the list ( quite a few of them missing in fact ) I was particularly interested in the Christmas Village Cart. Frustrating as I wanted to start on design studio whilst waiting for the carts to arrive. I have updated the Cricut Firmware on my machine and the carts still do not show in the library. Anyone know when the new update is likely to be?

Anyone know when the new update is likely to be? when you did the updates did you do both the program update and the font update or just one? did you first SAVE them to your computer and then RUN the update? The carts are actually listed in the wrong place. You should be able to find them in the "font cartridge" category located in between chore chart and cindy loo.

The program update was not only for the gypsy it fixed some of the other bugs as well.

I would suggest uninstalling and doing both downloads again. BTW - the program update contained more changes other than for the gypsy.
