I finally have the Yourstory original machine, wonderful Hubby found one at Michaels when he was on a business trip. It came with one 8 1/2x 11 album and one 8 x 8 album, that's okay with me, not to fond of the black and white album covers, that I saw online.
I really want to make a few more hard covered 8 x 8 albums as gifts. My question is are you able to score mat board without cracking? When I made a small 4x6 album out of 12 x 12 chipboard it cracked, not a smooth crease. Is there a better way of doing this?
TIA!

I use mat board for my covers, but I don't score it. I use separate pieces for the front cover, the back cover, and the spine. I leave a space between them and wrap them with cardstock or kraft paper to connect them all together. I hope this all makes sense... just feel the binding of a 'real' hard cover book and you can see that there is no board where the cover bends open, only the paper that wraps it. Good luck!

Could you post a picture? I would like to make a few inexpensive journals Thanks
