with this laminating yourstory....do you really just stick the laminating sheets through without being in a harder sleeve cover? I work in an office and if you would just stick the laminating sheets in without a harder cover it would melt to the rollers. My Yourstory didn't come with instructions (still waiting on them from cricutmachine) so I'm not really sure what I'm suppose to be doing and I don't wont to ruin it.
Can you use any kind of laminating sheets? or do you have to use a certian brand....those didn't come in my package either so I'm waiting for those also.

I've only used mine once. You just put your item to be laminated between the folded laminating sheet and put it in! It's super quick and super easy! I've read lots of people using several differant types of laminating sheets. The only differance I can see is the thickness... gotta pay attention to that. It all depends on your preferance. There are a few of us that our items did get stuck. I think the item I was laminating was just too thin. It was a printer paper. I now put my item in the laminating pouch, and then put that on a piece of cardstock, and run it through the machine. When I am doing regular cardstock it seems to work fine. I did read that a lady was laminating a newspaper clipping, and that too got stuck. It goes in but wraps around the rollers. I had to take my machine apart to take it off the rollers. Others have call Provo and they just sent them another machine. Hope this helps.

Are you saying you ran the laminate pouch with your item inside and a piece of cardstock UNDER the laminate sheet? I too had my machine eat my paper. Happened on the first try. I was peeved as I did not have another copy to use. I had to take my machine apart to get it out.

Anyone else having problems with the laminating material creasing and ruining the project? How do I stop this from happening? Thanks for any help.

I put my item in the laminating pouch and then I put the cardstock under that, just to give it stability. I run it throught the machine. when it comes out the other end, the lamination is bonded and thick so if I want I run it through again, without the cardstock under. It works fine.

I have not had the laminating pouch crease. I did have the paper I was laminating crease. I don't know what would cause that. sorry.

Same reason your paper creased... the paper is too thin.
USe a thicker ( higher MM) lam sheet. You want it to be "stiff" going into the machine.
