Hey everyone…I hope all are doing well. I swear…if I were a glorified ghetto chick, I would have lost my job by now cause I would have cussed out any and everybody! Instead, I’ve been eating like a fiend and there is no stopping in sight. I’m trying to get more crafting in during the week because it really does calm me like nothing else does. Plus…I don’t eat while I’m crafting and it helps me to use up the stuff I buy. Perfect solution, right? My darling uncle, God rest his soul, passed away today. I really thought DU had more time left on this earth, but it appears God had other plans. I am so so grateful that DS and I went to visit him on Sunday while he was at home. DS had not seen him since before Christmas. Please keep my family in your prayers.

To all of my birthday sisters…BDMommy,

Island…So sorry to hear about your soror’s mom. Just continue to be there as a support for her. She is in my prayers. Chuckling at your business expense conundrum. Does your mom do your taxes? I am so glad you heard from Char…please let her know that we all are thinking about her.

Leia…so glad to hear that your DD is out of danger with respect to her pregnancy and that the baby is alright.

BDMommy…the tri-fold card was so much easier than it looked. I’m glad I tried it!

HisGem…I hear you on the buying stuff “just because.” Two weeks in a row, I went to J’s and TM and spent on lots of stuff. Big Lots has tons of the staples for the Fasternator. At least all the ones I’ve been to out here do.

Momto2…Thanks for the overdrive link. I checked it and it said there was nothing within 100 miles of me although I have already checked out eBooks from my local library 4 miles away. In one word, YES! I would apply if I had your talent. You could make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear!

Meka…So good to see you. I am now a follower of your blog.

Dakota…I don’t like my Fastenator cause it never works well for me. Maybe I’ll put it in the give-a-way box. I love the embossing on the turtle card. It really gives it character. Like the banner too! I am so glad to hear that your friend Fran is doing much better. I will continue to keep her lifted in prayer.

TP…That’s a darling card. I have that paper! What a great way to use it.

Pumpkin…I admire your commitment not to spend on craft supplies during Lent. Good for you!

Renee…I emailed the card instructions to you. Happy Anniversary!

Netta…I am so sorry to hear about your cousin’s son. That is so sad. My prayers are with you and your family.

Tsrel…Those were beautiful words to Netta.

MMDezigns…Good observation about the number of pages on some of the threads. Very interesting!

Ziggy…Anemia will wipe you out! I know that I need to take my multi-vitamins because I’m anemic, but they make me so sick to my stomach. My last period knocked me off my behind so much that I was falling asleep while talking to my students.

Trell...That is an absolutely beautiful card!

Cassie…Glad you were able to still dance cause I KNOW your dancing is a blessing to many. Trying to take out contacts while dancing? I'd love to see that! I'm not very good at taking mine out while standing still! Good buy on the Cinch! Time to use mine that’s gathering dust and hasn’t had its test run yet. My first project is going to be this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5UMOLYPdRc

Oh Ella!........I am so, so sorry about your precious grandbabies. Thank God you all got to them before even more serious harm was done. You all are in my prayers.

OK…it is way past my bedtime and I need every minute of sleep I can get to deal with the stressors of the day. Hopefully I will be back soon!

Oh…before I forget…here is my most recent layout.

Good Morning All!! The Hump Day is here and for whatever reason, winter is trying to make a comeback. LOL!!

Renee - I say go for it. Twice a month isn't bad at all and you seem to have enough supplies purchased from the store to do a few projects already.

Karen - Grrrrr on the job front. So sorry things are still chaotic. Two more months and you can breathe freely. I watched that video a few weeks back and thought that was the cutest storage binder. Can't remember if that video mentioned (this PC doesn't have sound) but I purchased magnetic vent covers from Home Depot. It worked way better than the sheet I purchased at the craft store and cheaper too. 3pk of 12X15 was about $4.50.

HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL!!

Good morning,

Thank God it is Wednesday, not Monday.

Ella - When I read your testimony, because that is what it will be in the future to help bless someone else, my heart just sank. I will continue to thank God for resolution, restoration, and healing for you, your daughter, and grandson's, and rebuke the enemy from your mind and spirit pertaining to guilt.

WFD - Sorry to hear about your DU. I am glad that you and your son was able to see him before he passed. I am also sorry to hear that you are continuing to have problems at school. It is easy to say pray, especially when in the world realm it does not seem to be working. I am going to charge you and pray for peace, which is strong weapon against the enemey. May God's peace cover you in your mind, spirit, and flesh that you are even aware of the circumstances at school.

Netta - I will continue to pray for you and your family.

Truth - Continued prayers for you and your family to get the answers that you are seeking.

Momto2 - Congratulations and I say go for it.

Lent - Will I have about 3 more weeks to go. I have visited the craft stores just to get a window shop fix and walked out with nothing. I can't believe all the sales and deals this year for National Craft Month. Last Thursday I had a breakdown and cried, but God got me throuhg it. I am using this time to really question the reason why I spend and the emotion behind it. I found stress to be one of them. I am reconditioning myself to divert the stress and urge to something more meaningful and concerte.

I2B - Congratulaions to your son.

Treva - Continued prayers for you and your family. Congratulations to your team.

If I have forgotten anyone please charge to my lack of being able to purchase craft supplies. All projects posted are great. Have a fun day and laugh about anything!

Ella - Your story brings tears to my eyes. I am so glad your grandbabies are physically OK. I pray that your family can get over this menatally also.

Netta - Prayers go out to you and your family.

Have a good day ladies...BigGrin

Okay, I can no longer take it anymore. After raining all night and all morning, the sun just came out. I can't stop looking out of my window in my office. Plus I am tired and did not sleep well. I think I am headed home.

Can someone explain the purpose of the picture dulling/brightening when you scroll over a post. I am not liking this at all.

Hello all, Welcome Nu@scrappin join in and stay awhile you are among some of the most talented and caring group you can find in the scrap world!

Lifting Ella & WFD up in special prayer, He is able.

I hope everyone is getting their scrap on, I have just finished w/a project and plan to jump right into the next. There are two carts that I feel I really really needDrool! So I am planning to pass on the info to my DH as a b-day idea.

I just used my cinch for the first time this weekend at a crop and love it, before I purchased it I took a class for BIA last year and really did not care for the BIA. I find the cinch very easy to use, expecially since I am not one to measure much of anything.

Can someone tell me, why is it that in the morning when I wake up I have all these creative ideas for things I want to do or make but when it comes time to do them it takes me forever to pull my thoughts together? I can see them so clearly and I have so many ideas.

Everyone have a blessed evening, Im off to clean off my desk before I head home to my second job of cooking, cleaning, DH & DD.Huh

Hello and Happy Hump Day.....

I'm doing a driveby post as I should have been out of the door headed home by now. I still have a boatload of stuff on my desk that needs to be done and the fact that I have to come in late tomorrow isn't helping my stress level. So I decded to drop in on you all before I go home and then a little fun outing for DD and DH.

Prayers being lifted for my scrappin' family that your faith will sustain you in whatever you going through.

As I was heartbroken when I read Ella's post. Just remain faithful and prayerful so that you can be a pillar for your DD and DGS.

Karen don't fret as school is almost over, sorry to hear about the short lived romance. Condolences in the loss of your uncle.

Renee go ahead, continue to make us proud submit your project to the LSS. I don't know whats up with the blurred pics but its getting on my nerves!

Waving hello and wishing everyone a happy scrappin' evening.

GO RAMS GO!!! Our basketball team had a great sendoff today to Texas for the NCAA final four!

Hello all.

Evening check in while ironing clothes. I had intentions to craft today and instead cleaned out/purged my side of our bedroom closet. I put a load of laundry in this morning, then went in my closet for something and began to pull things out and cleaned.

Karen prayers for your family at this difficult time.

Netta nothing much to write home about at TM. I bought pack of MM ribbon and a the pink BIA cutters. How are you ? Did you get the PRIMA tissue flowers?

BBL DH needs directions for a pizza(dinner) place in the mall.

I have a tail to tell.

It is the tail of an otherwise happy, sometimes spunky 41year old woman who resides in Baltimore. The tail is about the month of march... I'll call it "A month in the life of Ziggy"

And it starts like this:

Early March: mother flips her wig and stops taking her seizure meds, ends up in the emergency room; boyfriend starts acting like a jerk.

Mid March: boyfriend still acting like a jerk; cousin is diagnosed with cancer(stage 2)breast cancer.

Late March:childhood friend dies of gross misdiagnosis at emergency room; Ziggy breaks up with boyfriend on the same night that childhood friend dies.

March 30th:someone runs into Ziggy in her car on the way to work, person who hit Zig is driving a rental because he had an accident last week and his car is in the shop; Ziggy finds out that little cousin who broke up a fight in school between two girls was stabbed either in or near the eye, he is in surgery now.

One day left in the month and terrified about what else the month of March will bring. So I checked on mom, she's taking her meds, I made sure no one is letting their kids run around sharp objects. I'm staying home from work tomorrow and not answering the phone. No telling what trick the devil has in store for me over the next 32 hours.

And yes, my lighthearted approach is just a coping mechanism.

Wish me luck, the month isn't over yet.

I haven't watched her in a while (I feel like there is something disingenuous there, but that may just be me.) but. I watched it this morning. I've been saying that I wouldn't dare buy one at launch and now I'm ready to sell my E and put that money towards the E2 because I know HSN is going to have an awesome deal, but I don't have the money, plus my mom would probably kill me.

Prayers to Ella, Karen, and Char. Hope everything gets better. My uncle had a seizure and last I heard bleeding on his brain, so I'm there with you all.

Renee, I think you should go for it.

Question of the day, have any of you ladies seen an embellishment center at your local stores? I NEED one desperately. Well, that's what I'm telling myself anyway. I think that I need to put more into getting my room together because I feel like it's current state is stifling my creativity. That sounds so dramatic - I'm such a mess. But it's true, I can't stand beige walls!

Hello ladies and gent. Just wanted to say hello to all of you before I turn in. I helped my first lady cut some letters for a bulletin board. We were late getting home but thank God Symon has decided to give up the ghost as we call it without a fight.

I am battling diabetes and recently had to go on insulin. I am asking all my sistas to pray for me. I got a word today to slow down and not allow the enemy to hold me down. I give the glory to God for always giving me a word.

Pumpkin please call.

I am supposed to get my imagine tomorrow.

Good Morning All,

Happy Day before the weekend!!!

Trell – I agree with the room. When it’s chaos in there, I can’t think. So, I end up cleaning up just to start a new project. Right now it’s a mess and I am in the middle of 3 projects. Trying to get my dh to do something with my bare walls. My Ms always have the embellishment centers on the shelf.

Lei – I know you are going to miss that special time at night with your girls. Last year my dad called on DD bday and was kind of sad because it was the first year, she didn’t wake up, run downstairs, and hear Papa sing to her. I think he really enjoyed watching her grow up under his roof.

Netta – I haven’t even thought about storage for the cinch or supplies. As for the wires, I’m using the larger size BIA wires so they are where they’ve always been. I’m just waiting to make use of the empty walls in my room, so I can get stuff to a permanent location.

Tonya – Have fun playing with your new toy when it arrives?

Karen – I am sorry to hear about your uncle. Sending prayers of peace to your family.

Ziggy - What a month. I sincerely pray you enjoy today and receive nothing but good news. Relax and be lazy today if that will help you unwind from the rollercoaster you just got off of.

Finally heard news Monday that we've been awarded another year on our contract. Great news, but I felt a shake down about to happen in the office and what I overheard yesterday confirmed it. They are about to shift seats big time around here. We may be giving up part of the building like we did a few years ago, when we downsized. It's only 29 of us in here. I just hope I don't lose my office or they put someone in here with me. I love my peace and quiet space.

Good morning all. I have not figured out a good way to post from the IPad and respond, so I am trying to quickly do it this morning to catch up. If I missed someone, I apologize. It was not intentional.

Update: as I sat down to work on my ABC scripture challenge page ( of which I am 3 weeks behind), I realized that I don't need to take on another designing project just yet.Friday is the first sketch reveal at Sketches: Creatively Yours, and we are still finalizing projects for the rest of the month. I really want to make it thru the year on my challenge layouts so I think I will save myself the headache and not apply. Plus, unless stock significantly improves, I will get bored fast working with the product they have. I am used to shopping around to feed my craving for latest/greatest.

Please keep DD lifted in prayer. She is having unexplained pain/numbness in both arms and legs. Yesterday, she had an MRI done of the brain and cervical area. We follow up with her internist Friday. The possible causes they are tesing for are none too nice and we have come against them.

Trell: love the card.

Ziggy: did you get your digital subscription to work? Also, breathe girl. You have a lot going on there. Hang tough, the month is almost over.

Cassie: congrats on the cinch. I keep saying I am going to get one, then I forget when I am out shopping.

Truth: Has your family tried talking to police supervisors to see your cousin, or at least get appropriate updates on his condition. Even if he were in jail, he would be allowed visitation and phone calls with family. If might help to go ahead and hire a lawyer for him who could also work to make sure he was getting proper care.

Coffee: it was Cassie who posted the order of prayer? Did you ever get it. Maybe you can PM her.

WFD: thank you so much for the template. I need to do several sympathy/thinking of you cards for personal friends. I think I will use that this weekend to make them. BTW, I stress eat too. And the things I eat when I am stressing are sooo bad for you. I am really trying to get that under control. How has the electronic book check out worked for you. I am going thru Debbie Macomber books too fast and need to check those out rather than buy at the rate that I am. I need to get down to Gulf Shores and get my ID number. Also, I am sorry to hear about your uncle. Will be praying for your family.

Pkay: DH was talking about the Zoom also. He is thinking of getting himself one too. We are getting the small V1 for DS’s birthday Saturday. He doesn’t know yet. He asked for an Ipod touch, but we can actually get him that Ipad for less than the touch. Right now, he and I fight over my Ipad. Come Sunday Morning, I am deleting angry birds and all those other stupid games he has on my Ipad.

Dakota: I never heard good reviews about “Getting to Happy”, so I never bought it. I may get an e-book later when it hits the reduced price level.

Netta: I am so sorry to hear about your family’s loss. Will keep you all lifted in prayer.

Tsrel: sending you a PM in a few. I hope you are able to get your diabetes under control.

Pumpkin: I am impressed that you can window shop and not buy crafty stuff. You are an inspiration. I need to do a little more of that.

Gr8ful: my ideas come while I am at work. I have started sketching them out or emailing myself with whatever idea, inspiration, whatever I have. Makes it easier to remember when I sit down to work. The other day, I completely designed a layout of the gypsy. A first for me, but it was so easy to cut and put together that way.

TP: I am glad it is not just me with the blurred pics. I can’t figure out what purpose it serves.

Kim1: can you come and purge my closet? It needs it badly.

Lei: hand in there girl. I know you will miss your DD. Praying for you.

Just got hit with a bomb. My department is going away and with this new contract, my old counterpart is now my Manager. I'm not sure what to feel at this point. When the Director asked me how I felt, all I could say was, 'it is what it is and there's nothing I can do about it." This just makes me feel like she was promoted over me, although I was better (when we worked together) at our job function. She's been in her lead role for 2 years in a different dept and capacity, so I've been the solo person in this position. It's probably more the fact that I don't want her in my personel business.

Now I know how the guy felt that was in her current dept and had been doing the job 15+ years and they promoted her (with practically no experience in that arena) because his position and 2 others were being terminated. Don't get me wrong, between the other departments, it made the most sense to put me under her because the others would be conflict of interest. I just don't like it.

Sorry for the vent. I had to say it out loud so I could get it off my chest.

Coffee - I'll have to see where I put my notes on the list and with the way my space looks now, it could take a minute.

Hello everyone! I thought I would take a few minutes while lunch is warming to get on and say hello. I want to make something crafty so badly. It's impossible while I'm watching the boys and lately in the evening Ijust want to crash. I'm going to have to make something tomorrow since dd doesn't have class.
I do have some good news. My dgs that has the fractured skull slept thru the night Tues. night!! I forgot to ask my dd about last night. It's such a small thing but such a blessing. In my prayers I ask that they are able to forget this happened to them. The caseworker from Child Protection just finished his report so an arrest is getting close. I know he will probably bond out but it'll just be nice to know justice is working-you know? DD is doing a little better. She has an app't tomorrow with a therapist. I am glad she is going because she is having anxiety atttacks. Her MD gave her a low dose of xanax but I don't want her to become dependent on it. Learning to deal with this will help her with life in general.
I know all of you VCU fans are excited but you're playing my team!! Last year was so exciting for us and this year no one thought they would repeat being in the final four! So-may the best team win! It'll be pretty cool if one of them wins the whole thing!
WFD-so sorry to hear about your uncle. You all are in my prayers.
Pumpkin-thank you for the kind words. I am impressed with your resolve. Hang in, its almost over!
Lei-thank you. I hate to think of the day my dd and boys will be leaving.
Tsrel-praying for you.
Ziggy-and I thought my month was bad! You will be in my prayers.
Mom2-your dd will be in my prayers.
Cassie-vent away! I don't blame you. I hope it all works out okay!
Have to get lunch on the table!! Thank you for the continued prayers.

Good Morning All.

Netta it's snowing here too! It's a 2 hour delay here for school. How's your cousin? Prayers for your family.

Renee prayers for your DD.

Ella I agree the small blessings are the best.

Tonya Tsrel prayers for you also.

Just finished making my girls a big breakfast pancakes and bacon. Since they have a assessment test today and it was a two hour delay I wanted to make sure they had a good breakfast for brain food. Have to run time to get them out the door.

Hello Sistahs

It's been awhile since I've posted, tax season is a busy time for me as I prepare returns! I've been crazy busy. Plus, the flu got me and my DH as well. I couldn't believe how sick I was. DH isn't accustomed to seeing me incapacitated, and because I came down with it first, I think he didn't really believe how hard hitting this flu bug was. Two days later, when he got it, he actually ended up feeling a little guilty for not being more sympathetic! It took three weeks before I felt like myself again! I stopped getting flu shots several years back because I got a little sick from the shot, well I'll take a couple of days of post shot blahs over that nasty flu any day! We will be the first people in line for flu shots next year!

I'm looking forward to the down time in 14 more days so I can spend some time crafting. I'm way behind with the acrylic tumblers for the grandchildrens' birthdays. I also want to make them some 6x6 and 8x8 memory books.

Ella My thoughts and prayers are with you and your dear loved ones. No sane person would do something like that. I hope your daughter files for a restraining order against this fellow, for her safety and protection.

Love and Blessings to you all!

D. D.

Hi all. Sitting in the doctors office. So far, we have been here nearly two hours. DD is in the exam room. They are supposed to call me at the end. Hopefully we can get answers today. We aren't sure the MRI results got here in time, so we may be waiting still.
