Attached is a new version of the Advanced Calibration procedure. There were some questions about how Scale adjustments work so I tried to reword things to make it more clear. I also added a section on changing both the Scale and Offset in the same image. Hopefully these instructions will be clearer. Chris, I've had an issue with the images on the bottom half of my mat not cutting correctly, and I've seen were others have had this issue. I've done the advanced calibration in spots all over the mat (using load last) and it lines up perfeclty, but when I do a full sheet of images (random or the same image) the bottom half of the sheet don't line up right. check out a few photos of the issue I'm having. you can clearly see that the images on the top of the page line up perfectly, but the images toward (or at the bottom) don't line up as well. I hope these photos help . . . thanks for all your help! Jackie Kelley Edited by user Sunday, March 06, 2011 4:05:54 PM(UTC)

thanks for all your help! Jackie Kelley Sorry I didn't get with you yesterday. With the release of the big update I was busy the whole day. I looked at your pictures and would recommend that you go into advanced calibration and decrease your Right - Left offset by about 5 and decrease your Top - Bottom Scale by 0.02. See if that works for you. Also make sure you are feeding the mat in as straight as possible. I always push the "Insert Mat Here" plastic mat guide all the way to the left and then, when I insert the mat, I always press the mat against the left side of the "Insert Mat Here" mat guide and insert the mat as far as it will go into the Imagine. That way skew is minimized. Let me know if that helps. Chris Provo Craft

Hi Chris, I'm hoping you can help! Since I got my machine I've re-calibrated between each sheets and have separated projects so I get fresh cuts off each calibration. I've re-calibrated my machine more often then I've used it in projects. I have to admit I've often given up on any projects out of frustration. I've wasted so much paper. I haven't done the advance calibration yet because I'm not sure which setting to change and if that would change the top part of the page (which is cutting fine). I'm running out of white paper! The beginning of the sheet starts out with great cuts but by the time it gets to the bottom the entire cut is off. I've been going through the posts and saw that the problem rectify for some people after they updated the machine so I did that hoping that my problem would be resolved but unfortunately, I'm not sure what to do next. I took a few pictures to show you; however, this is my first post and I don't know how to attach anything. Sincerely scrappintwin attached the following image(s):

Stary by going into Advanced Calibration and decreasing your Top-Bottom SCALE by 0.3. Let me know if that fixes the images on the bottom of the mat. If it doesn't then take pictures of images on the top of the mat and the bottom of the mat and I will make more suggestions. Chris Provo Craft

I followed the pdf report, then tried all the suggestions and still cannot get the Imagine to cut my images correctly. I have wasted over a dozen sheets today. (cried, then ate a bowl of ice cream). I am still very new to crafting, but very fustrated with the Imagine! It amazingly cuts the square that is pre-loaded, but nothing on the cartridges! PLEASE help and send suggestions! Much appreciated! Sarah

Decrease the Top-Bottom SCALE by 0.2. Increase your Right-Left OFFSET by 7. Increase your Right Left SCALE 0.2. Let me know how that works. Chris Provo Craft

Chris Provo Craft Ok I followed your settings and here are my results. A bit of improvement but not by much. I have done this so many times, I am running out of ink. Edited by user Monday, May 02, 2011 12:39:28 PM(UTC)

Ok So I played some more tonight with offset. This is where I am now. I have what I think looks like a perfect 2 inch square with good scale and offset. BUT When I go to cut these images from Enjoy the Seasons, They are all off. Makeupgirl217 attached the following image(s):

I can't see the whole mat and don't know where on the mat those images were placed but it looks to me like you need to decrease the Top-Bottom SCALE by 0.2 or 0.3. Chris Provo Craft

Chris- I did as you said and these were my test cuts with the same images from Enjoy the Seasons. As you can see in the first pic, the calibration adjustment of .2 or.3 is negligible. I chose the .3 I really liked how even the image looked. SUPER EXCITED! BUT . . . . (insert ominous tones) I tried to cut the layers of images I wanted for my project. All my cuts are off again! I changed nothing. In fact the .3 cut from my test cut of banners is in the same relative spot as my layers cuts. The calibration did not change at all between the two cuts. My machine will not hold a calibration! I am so upset. I can live with horrible cutting on the bottom of the mat but not on the top. If you can't give me any more suggestions, I guess I will have to call CS for replacement number 3. Edited by user Tuesday, May 03, 2011 10:44:29 PM(UTC)

Chris Provo Craft Thanks for the help. Sorry, I was not able to log on the last 2 days. 1. Version 1.01 and (0079:0009:0240:201G) 2. The new Ben & Jerry's Red Velvet Cake! YUMMY! 3. Unfortunatley NO! This is my second machine as the first one, (used only twice) a roller fell out??? This one came with a paper stating that it was updated by quality control. I was able to cut one sheet (7 images) and worked GREAT, the next dozen, not so great! Sarah
