Hey everyone! Please help! I've cut out layers with my gypsy before, but I guess I never played around with the sizes? I am trying to cut out the chihuahua holding the heart in his mouth. So first of all, on an empty 12x12 mat, i Put the dial height at 9 inches. At this point, I cannot choose a width. Next, I chose my bottom layer for the chihuahua and go back to my mat. When it's on my mat, I find it a bit "skinny" so I wanted to increase the Width from 6.77x9inches to 8.74x9inches. So i "unlock" the dimentions, and change the width to 8.74 and re-lock it. After choosing the correct size of my base layer, with it still selected I go back to my CART and add the other layers. Although... it doesn't seem like the layers are cutting out proportionate?? It's like the other layers come out 9inches, but do not get bigger in width. Now, using the bottom layer as a template, I was able to cut this Chihuahua, but I had to re-size the layers manually which becomes annoying! :) Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?? Thanks :)

I am pretty new to the Gypsy, but I think if you change the dimensions by unlocking then you will also have to change the layer. There may be a way around this, but I am not aware of it.
At any rate I think your dog cut is adorable!

Renee,
Your dog came out adorable. When I am cutting an image with multiple layers, I add them altogether on my mat at once, and keep them grouped together and then resize the group, this way all the layers stay in proportion. Once they are sized the way I want them, then I ungroup and move them around the mat. But, I don't usually cut images as big as 9 inches!! Anyway, I hope this makes sense!!
