I bought my Your Story last year and use it almost every week. What changes are in the new one?

It only binds smaller books 4x6 and 5x7 and it does not laminate.

This is such a shame I wanted to do the bigger books as well. It seems the older one was better, if the new one only does the smaller size books. It will be interesting to find out when it comes out. What are others thinking your thoughts would be good.

I bought the older one about a month ago and have not used it yet.
Can you bind smaller photos like the new one? I would think you could. I saw the glue strips somewhere and can't remember where it was. If they are available I would think that you could use your own cardstock with the glue strips and do the same thing on the old one.
Anyone know?????

The glue strips work in the original Yourstory as well. BUT, if you have a glue gun you don't need them. Just put a line of glue down the spine of your folder (leaving about 1/8 of an inch glueless on each end). Then when you're ready to bind something, and put the book in the yourstory the glue will melt and bind the pages as it cools.

I have the older machine. I have used it as a laminator but have never used it as a binder(except when it didn't work). What do you use to make the folder ? I tried this and evidently didn't use the right stuff because my glue (from my glue gun) never even began to get hot much less melt ? I would love to figure out how to make this!!

You say glue gun, so are you talking about hot glue? Just one strip of glue?
Thanks, Nancy

Thanks, Nancy Yes ... apply one line strip of hot glue to the inside of the binding, allow the glue to cool. Then insert your pages and adhere them all together using YourStory. It will heat up the glue again and adhere your pages to the binding.

A woman on this board a few lines up from this one said that she used a glue gun and bound over 70 pages together. There are different types of glue gun sticks. Some are for hot glue, some require much lower temperatures to stick. Anyone know which kind work best?
