After months of research and "thinking it over", I decided on the Cricut Expression. So I went on Black Friday to Joann's Fabric and bought it $200. Plugged it in, followed the directions and guess what...it doesn't work. I have reset the machine several time to no availe. Not happy with my purchase...Any suggestions on what else I could try before I call the Cricut people. When I turn on the machine, all of the buttons on the far left side light up (except Settings & Line Return) and stay lite up. Then the far left columns on the "keyboard" are also lite up and stay up. The display screen is blank. HELP!!! Mrs. Brady attached the following image(s):

Do you still have your receipt? I would try returning it to Joann's for another one if this one won't work.

If you didn't try what is called a hard reset, you can follow the directions hereThis should work, but if not, I would try to return it.

Mine lights up like yours and the display screen has info on it. Then the lights all go out except the on/off button but there is always something in the display area. I'd return it right away. You will love your expression when you get one that is not broken. This is just a fluke. It happend to me when I got my Gypsy a few months ago. Broken and wouldn't turn on. It is not common at all.
