I have just started using the cricut studio. The firmware appears to be updated. When I try to cut I can not load the mat. I am not to savy on all this, can someone help?

Mmmmm .. ?? Do you mean DESIGN Studio?? Make sure you put the mat far enough in the machine so the rollers catch it.. then hit LOAD MAT on the machine's key board..

I use the Gypsy with my cricut a lot and find that - 1 being sure the mat is pushed in until you meet resistance (don't push so hard you bend the mat!) and 2 putting my hand near the top of the mat where it goes in and "helping" it along as it loads - makes things go a lot better. You just want to make sure the mat contacts the rollers, be sure you don't actually push the mat in.
HTH!

do you have a cart inserted into your machine? the machine wont load the mat without a cart. also you have to use the "load mat" on the machine as DS doesn't have a "load mat" button
