Hi all,
While I am awaiting the arrival of my cricut I started thinking about what I'm going to use it for first. I think the first thing I am planning to do is make a scrabble board as a bulletin board. Any suggestions on how I can complete this? I was thinking 3ft by 3ft. I would love any suggestions or thoughts on this. Thanks bunches

Are you looking for topics or what carts to use for this?
Is this just for your classroom or the hallway. If it is for your class you can use velcro to attach letters to the spaces and let the kids "play" putting up the board. You could use vocab words (reading, science or social studies)and make it more like a crossword puzzle. Give them the definitions and have them fill in the board that way.
If it is for the hallway make a board with safety words on it (especially for Halloween and end of the year when the kids are on the loose).

As far as the carts I think any with a square on it would do.You just have to decided how big the squares and letters need to be.

The Designers Calendar Cartridge has a good grid you can cut or draw. Use the markers and they are the perfect size to make your game board with. Just cut out the letters in any font and put them in the squares.

The velcro idea is great!! Plantin Schoolbook or Doodletype probably have the font closest to the Scrabble tiles. Boot camp has a nice font, too.

Hi, I'm pretty sure the Learning Curve cartridge actually has scrabble tiles as one of its features
