If anyone can help in letting me know the BEST paper cutting setting for Bazzill paper especially when I am trying to cut something that is about 1-2" tall. If I set the speed & depth too high, it rips...too low and it doesn't go through. HELP.I also have the deep cutting blade if that is better???

i use 6 for the depth. med pressure & speed on the 2nd slowest (i can't think what it's called).
did you check your blade?

Thanks I'll give it a try. Yes, blade was checked and seems to cut everything else.I'm still new to this so I appreciate your suggestion.

Unfortunately, Bazzill is one of the worst to work with on the Cricut (IMO) but can be done with a little patience. I set my blade housing setting on 4 & my pressure on Med. for the first cut & then I do a 2nd cut. Sometimes that doesn't always work either, so I may have to increase my pressure to high or my blade depth to 5, it really just depends. It's not always the same from paper to paper either. I love using Bazzill for cards, but to be honest, it's not my favorite in my machine. Good luck.

Thanks Beth! What paper do you think is the BEST for cutting? I have had tremendous success with the paper that I bought in a huge pack from Costco but I can't seem to get them to bring it back. It came in a rainbow of amazing colors. I'll keep trying.

I agree that coordination is the easiest to work with. The smooth open stock paper from Hobby Lobby works well also.

I cut most everything on max, max, max! Real thin paper I will decrease the pressure, otherwise it will tear.

I use Bazzill for most of my cuts and don't have a problem. I use the max setting and the next speed down from High, but always do a multi-cut of at least two times.
Just recently I made several very detailed ornaments from the Christmas Noel solutions cart - they were 4" long by 2-1/4" wide and didn't have a problem getting them off the mat after cutting twice. There are pics in the card section under topic "Ornament card - Christmas Noel Solutions Cart".
I also just purchased the little Cricut spatula. For a long time, I hesitated buying it because I thought it was a waste of money and a Cricut marketing ploy, but it is extremely thin and flexible, so it is able to get under the paper for the smallest of pieces and thinest of papers. I highly recommend this tool!

i cut everything on my E! I have a cheat sheet telling you the blade, speed & pressure settings. It lists all types of c/s, vinyl, transparency, chipboard & vellum. PM me with your email & I will send it all. Happy Halloween!

The only time I have trouble cutting Bazzill is when the blade is dull or there is some paper pieces in the blade. I use 5-6 on blade,4pressure and 3speed. Again it depends on how "used" your blade is. On simple cuts,no swirlys or intricate turns you can put the speed up higher and get things done in record time,lol.
