I did not use any pattern, but adapted the idea for my own use. I bought the snap and store containers and cut strips of the plastic canvas to go front to back of the storage unit. I put 4 in each container so I would have 5 rows and I can store 9 carts in each row. I have 3 of the storage units stacked together and in the bottom one there is extra space so my markers and a few other tools go in that spot (till I can fill it up, too!)

Shannon -
TFS!! This looks great (great pics, too). What is the name of the storage container and where did you get it? Is is available at the big chains? (J's, M's, HL??) Or did you have to buy it online? I'd really appreciate some help here, as carts have gotten out of hand far too quickly for me to devise any good way to store them.

I bought 2 of them similar to these ones http://www.snapware.com/W-60882010.html at M's along with some plastic canvas. i like the ribbon dispenser ones as there is a deep compartment ideal for your books and overlays and the shallower compartment for your cartridges.
Hope this helps Shannon

I got my pattern on the old board. Tried to find it for you, but I can't log in. My name is up there, but it says I'm logged in as "guest". Maybe you can log in and search for it. It was great, the woman told exactly how to cut each piece. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Just the pics and some help with the outside containers is great! Mare, I may try to look on the old board, I go there for gypsy info (often ). But this looks great, and I'm pretty crafty myself, so maybe I can figure it out.
TFS, everyone!

The cut directions are:
7 strips of 59x10 (# of holes) Cut 5 deep @ 12, 24, 36, 48
4 strips of 39x10 (#of holes) Cut 6 deep @ 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 & 35
from old board, I had it bookmarked and now copied and saved it in a document.

Using the stacking containers is an excellent idea. I purchased the storage tote bag. Sure wish I had seen your post first.

The stacking containers are available for purchase at Target or Wal-Mart for sure. I'm sure they are available at other stores as well.

Clever way to organize your cartridges, but what about the panel and booklet? It seems it might be easier just to keep everything together.

Scrapalette, thank for posting the link to Channye's original post on the old mb. I'll bookmark it. (I hate that we lost our subscriptions on the old mb!) She posted the pictures & directions way back in 2008. They have been used by countless people. I have outgrown mine; I need to go buy a third Snapware ribbon container. I made those storage sets for three of my friends.
Just make sure when buying the containers that the snaps are tight. I have found that some are tighter than others.

You can buy the snapware boxes at Joann's and the canvas. I have some more canvas coming in today to make me a second storage box. The containers are only about 6 bucks and the canvas is 1.99. Not to bad for awesome cart storage!
