Ok, I am using Paper Pups and I am trying to cut the background graveyard. When I cut at 5" I get an image that is 7.25 X 2.5. Then I cut at 3" and it comes out at 6 X 2.25.
I really waste a lot of paper with my trial and error method. Can anyone give me some tips how to figure out what size I want and what size an image will cut? Thanks in advance.

do you have real dial size on... This is where you would need it. When you cut anything that is not the main shape, it is cut proportionally to the main cut. So turn the real dial size button (which is on the key pad) and then set your size to the size you want and cut. So times I load my mat without paper and 'cut' Then you can at least see how big it might be without wasting paper hope this helps

I use copy paper. cheap and tons of it. Never cut before I test it on that stuff. or get a roll of heavy wrapping paper and cut pieces to fit the mat. Works great.
