Congratulations. I was a budget cut from our school, was really upset when it happened, but loving it now. Don't know how I ever had time to work. I was going to retire after this year, but they did it for me.
My goal is to cut out one of each thing on all my cartridges. I'm going away for three weeks with my husband while he works and plan to do a lot of cutting (use up all the supplies I've been collecting!).
Have fun, I am!

♥Carol♥ wrote:Oh Linda ... how fun. Looks like you and Okie will have lots of time to get into oodles of mischief now! Seriously though ... CONGRATS! And you are retiring at the perfect time ... just think of everything you'll be able to do for the Holidays now! You know what I'd REALLY like to do for the holidays? Run away! I've said that every year for the past 8-10 years and always get "guilted" by family into staying around. Christmas was so much fun when we had little ones to watch open their presents, etc. But now they're all teenagers. Mmmmm....this may just be the year that I do something that Ireally want to do!

Great news! I had planned to start reducing my inventory and be closing my business down by October 15th.
At that time I'd still have to sell my building, remove outside fixtures, etc.
But I have a man who's agreed to buy the business, lock, stock and barrel! What a load off my mind!
We anticipate that he will take over on or before mid-October! So, I may "escape" earlier than I had thought!
Woo-hoo! If all the paperwork was done, I'd pick up my purse and walk out tomorrow and let him have it! LOL!

Congrats on your retirement! I just retired in July and loving every minute of it. I did close my scrapbook store and now have a hard time finding the good quality papers I use to order, but love having time to catch up with my own scrapbooking and spending time with grandchildren. You are going to love it!!

I retired a about a year and a half ago, I was going to leave in August but decided heck, why should I waste a summer , so I bumped it back to April. I thought I would miss work a little, but guess what...I LOVE being at home. Life is too short. Someone asked me what I would do all day and I replied, well I just may decide to watch the grass grow ha ha. Enjoy it, you will adjust quicker then you think

Sorry to hear about the sale of your business but so happy that you are still able to go ahead and retire when you planned to. Keep all of us on the board posted during your retirement so that us poor working saps can live vicariously through you
