So I was working on a DS design, and I know I need to save, and often. I was working on this project for 40 minutes, saving every couple of things I added. Well the last thing I added and tried to save, it gave me that wonderful error, and it shut down design studio. When I tried to open my project, it was invalid. So how do I avoid this in the future? Cause it made me mad!!! lol Amy

When you save it is best to do it in the full view mode not at 100% or higher, when I forget and have it enlarged and hit save the same thing happens. It's like it is too big to save. That is my advise. Hope it Helps

it has been suggested that you save as you go along changing the file name by adding another letter or number or something so that if it corrupts you only have to go back to the last save.
it's best to save at fit to view mat view. also if you have a lot of projects in your "project" folder it will cause the file to corrupt.

Whenever I have gotten the dreaded red X, I've been able to exit out of that screen using the x in the upper right corner and my file was still good.

OMG I have a lot of projects saved, but have never experienced the big red X you are talking about. I do save often as I would hate to lose a design after spending so much time on it.
