Just ordered personal cricut and very excited to get it... few questions, does this one do the same as the rest? I know it cuts smaller, but does it do the vinyl and etching? If so what special supplies to I need? Is this cricut a good choice? I thought for someone just starting out it would be plenty??? All help appreciated!

I'm assuming you mean the baby bug.
It pretty much does what the E does, but you are limited in space. It doesn't cut smaller for the most part, but you can only cut 5 1/2" x 10 (I think).
It depends on what you are doing if it's good enough. It cuts vinyl just fine, but it obviously can't cut large decals for walls. If you're trying to cut bags, they are going to be really small too.
If you are just using it for diecuts for cards and scrapbooking, it's great. HTH

welcome to the messageboard!!! yes the cricut is an awesome choice. the cricut original bug, the cricut expression and the create all do the same things some of the machines have additional functions (like the sizes etc.) yes you can cut vinyl with all the machines.

The Baby Bug (the personal one) is what I started out with...it cuts 6X12, so you can use half sheets of standard 12X12 paper on it. ProvoCraft also sells paper already cut to size in stacks. You will be more limited in what you can cut with the Baby Bug, but if you use it for scrapbooking or cardmaking, or to cut vinyl for smaller projects (like etching), you'll have everything you need. It takes more time, but you can pretty much do anything you want with it, except cut things larger than 6X12.
