Loved your card. I had four dogs over the years and putting them down was very hard. They will really appreciate your card. It is really lovely. Thanks for being concerned inspite of the hubby.

Your card is beautiful! I love that you made the puppy look like a dalmation!
Don't pay any attention to your husband. I have sent many pet sympathy cards, and every person has told me how much it meant to them. People who love their animals understand and appreciate it.
And thanks so much for giving me credit. I'm so happy I inspired you!

This is a beautiful card and will be cherished by the person you are sending it to. I know from experience how these cards are appreciated as we had to put down one of our babies a few years ago. The cards meant so much to my DH and myself.

Lovely card. I know if anything happened to my sister's pets I would be sending her a sympathy card. They are like her children. You did a great job.

Your card is very nice. I know your friend will appreciate it. It brought tears to my eyes. I lost my dog (who your card reminds me of) last year and I still miss him. He'd been through a lot of tough times with me. I'm sorry your husband doesn't understand. I guess not everyone has had a special place in their heart for a dog so they just don't understand.

I am truely touched by all your comments. Thank you so much. He just doesn't understand how I spend so much time crafting instead of paying attention to him. He said tonight. "I bet if I could turn into a greeting card, you would be interested in me!" Ughhh.

Maybe you could give him a sympathy card that says you're sorry that you couldn't attend his pity party! LoL!! JK!! ~but the card was very touching & I got a little choked up over it. You did a wonderful job.

"I bet if I could turn into a greeting card, you would be interested in me!" Ughhh. wow, sounds like he has some sort of issues. does he pay attention to you? I'll stop before I open a can of worms here... very lovely card, and a wonderful idea for anyone who has lost a pet. My friend's pet just passed away (he went missing, and they found him 2 weeks later about 100 yards away hidden in bushes. Possibly wanted to find his own resting place - he was 14 years old). I plan on making my friend a sympathy card and found this thread while doing a search for ideas. I don't have that cart (paper pups), so I might need to be creative. I do have the similar Cuttlebug small embossing folders that I might be able to use... again, TFS your wonderful card!

awwww nice job. I plan to make a card for the same reason this weekend. My cousin had to put Spencer down and he was like her 3rd son. It will be the first time I use Paper Pups but I thought that it would have an appropriate cut.
Thank you for sharing.

you shouldn't let anyone make you cry especially your husband. I'm sure your card was beautiful and the person receiving it will surely enjoy it. Don't let your husband influence you. He should find a hobby of his own so he can he leave you alone. The world doesn't revolve around him and neither should you.
