i'm trying to make my first wordbook and am using a cereal box. I set my machine with a pressure of 6 speed of 2 and the blade at 6 and as soon as it starts to try and cut its like it gets stuck then goes back and is all out of alignment, what can i do!?????

Try easing the pressure by 1 (ie lesser) a little and increasing the speed by 1. It means that the fibers are trapping the blade and pulling it along. Sometimes faster speed helps But I would use a new blade and much better the deep cut blade in the regular housing! The deep cut blade has a different angle than the regular blade and helps so is much better choice in slicing through denser material. But since the cereal box is thinner regular blade HOUSINg is better as it has better pressure

I used a deep cut blade and it worked really good. I haven't tried using the regular blade, but it seems like it wouldn't cut as good.

Are you using deep blade housing? If not, did you try multi-cut? That's how I did it. Cut 2 times and I agree, ease up on the pressure by one. Make sure you have a really sticky mat too. Otherwise the cardboard will shift. Let us know if it works.

I cut chipboard all the time with my expression...The deep cut blade works great..I have also used the regular blade to cut chipboard... I always multicut at least twice depending on the thickness of your chipboard sometimes 3..I also have speed and pressure set to the maximum...blade is set at 5 on the regular blade and I have no problem cutting chipboard.
