So this weekend I went to a craft fair with thousands and thousands of craft vendors. You ladies ruined craft fairs for me! There were about 20 booths that I went in and thought, Oh I saw that on the Cricut MB, I can make that at home! There were dozens of booths where I would walk by and think, Plantin, George or Stamped because these are the cartridges that the items were made with. Every one here sharing their great projects has ruined me for craft fairs! I love it ! I really do appreciate everyone sharing their ideas, there are a lot of things that I would have bought but because of you ladies I know that I can make. Not that I didn't spend a ton of money, but just not on things that I can make myself. Please keep the ideas coming! For anyone in WI, Warrens Cranberry Fest is amazing! Mindy

Sounds like fun! My sister will often come over after she has been to a craft fair with a camera full of pics and say "You can make this with your Cricut, right?".

So funny hearing this about the craft fair. Everytime my daughter and I go to one I say don't buy that I can make it. She has never understood my crafting but when I make something great she says wow!! I keep trying to get her to at least start a hobby but she refuses. She is 30 now and by that time I was into everything. LOL Keep the ideas coming you talented ladies.

I have a love hate relationship with craft fairs. I love to go and look but I hate it because I too always think "Oh I can make that". But then I seldom do! LOL

How funny! No one will even go to a craft fair with me because I walk by the booths saying " Don't buy that. I can make it" Just not any fun for my friends who are there to spend their $$$$. I also name off the carts as I walk by.

So there's no Angel policy on stuff we can make with our Cricut? That's why I never made anything for a craft fair.

The Angel Policy always allowed for things to be made with the Cricut to be sold at craft fairs. But, earlier this year, when the Cricut Cake came out, they changed the policy, making it much more flexible.
I've sold at Craft fairs making things with my Cricut for 3 years now. In those years, I've never seen anyone selling stuff close to what I make. No one uses a Cricut on their stuff. I've seen hand made cards with stamps and hand drawn art. One table makes those stick figures you put in your car, and vinyl wall art. They have a heavy duty cutter (it looks a little like the Pazzles, but more of an industrial model). I've had people stop by the booth seeing my work and asking if I have a Cricut (and i'm sure they are saying "I can make that"). We have our first show this saturday.

Hi! At least 12 years ago I saw a sign at a craft booth, I didn't buy, but I could make it. It said,
Yes, you can make this.....but when?

I will admit there are some things that I bought just because I know that I would never actually make it. The one thing I saw that I know there were instructions for on here were the magnetic boards. I thought they were so cute, but not for $25-40 they were marked if you can do them your self! Someone mentioned taking pictures. Last year I got in some trouble because I did that with a booth. The ideas were so simple I took a picture with my phone. Not that I ever actually made the item though! Thanks ladies for letting me know that I am not alone in my Cricut obsession! ladybugstamper wrote:Hi! At least 12 years ago I saw a sign at a craft booth, I didn't buy, but I could make it. It said,

I am glad to know that I am not the only one that goes to the craft shows and finds inspiration and does a lot of "I have that cartridge . . . I could make that"
I was even at a local scrapbooking store this week and saw images that I know were Cricut images cut and packaged for sale. If only I had time to just sit and make 20+ cuts of every image and then open my own store!
