So I watched HSN and ended up ordering the Imagine. How could I not?? Then I get a flyer in the mail the other day from Roberts crafts that has the Gypsy on sale for 124.99 plus a 10.00 off coupon that is good for today and tomorrow. How could I pass it up??? So now I have a friend picking it up for me on her way home from work. OMG!! I have now lost my mind.
I guess I am wondering if they gypsy is worth it. I read a bunch of comments on the regular cricut message board from people who thought they would never get one and are SOOOO happy they did.
Opinions??

The Gypsy is a great tool. I love being able to take it to crops and not have to plan which carts to take with me. It also helps me to plan out projects and be able to weld.

I have Design Studio but thought the gypsy would be a good tool. I usually just use my laptop if I am traveling. I really do not go to crops. At least not yet. I think I should buy stock in Provo Craft

I do have a question... If I link my cartridges to the gypsy does it make it easier?

you will love it. Seeing from the way they are talking how gypsy will add so much more to the Imagine you won't regret it. And as for linking do it in stages - on project basis and only those you want to keep

I am one that thought I would NEVER get a gypsy. I do all my crafting at home, I don't go to crops, I didn't think I would like the screen size...anyway, I bought mine on Monday and I love it! I am so happy with it and I use it every day! While its battery was charging, I watched some videos online to get a head start on understanding how to make the most of it. That really helped me a lot. I think you will love it!

Cynthia - without a doubt there is a learning curve for the Gypsy, but don't let that discourage you. I still am a bit slow with it, but I love it :) Go for it :)

I'm a newbie Gypsy owner and I LOVE it! I don't know what I did before this nifty tool! LOL. I want the Imagine too, but it will have to wait. We are saving for a trip during Thanksgiving with my family. But I have hinted to the hubby that the Imagine would be a great Christmas gift! LOL
Enjoy your new toys!

Opinions?? It is worth it. Many of us bought at launch and paid close to 350 and would do it again! I love my Gypsy Woman

OK ladies I have had this for a couple of days now and I couldn't be happier. I've taken it in the car with me everywhere I like it mush better than Design Studio Why did I wait so long? I am still learning about everything but all of it will come in time. I have over 80 carts and am leary about linking them to my Gypsy.

I was a DS junkie, and finally gave in to the Gypsy. Now, never mind using the E without it, I can't even use DS Now!! I use it for everything. You will love it Lesley

I also bought the Gypsy videos from Above Rubies Studio...GREAT DVD! MUST have for a new user. Enjoy and have lots of fun! ~Jody

In all honesty my cricut was highly neglected until I brought home my gypsy. It has made a hugh difference in what I do and the quality of my end product.

I my gypsy. I actually just moved and misplaced my gypsy to the E cord. I had to go back to the old way of cutting. Just an example: I was able to lay out 6 dinosaurs on the virtual mat to cut on my G, but on the traditional way of cutting I was only able to cut 4. It is such a paper saver. I love being able to line everything up. I am so glad I bought it. And I have not gotten into the designing that a lot of people do. Just another bonus to the G. Good luck with it!

You won't be sorry! It is great to be able to do all the things with it and it is great to be able to cut without changing carts each image. It is good to take on the go so you can keep designing and laying out lo's. I really can't say anything bad about it since they added the hide/contour to it!

I was one of those people who said "Why do I need a Gypsy" and until this past Jan. I saw a great deal couldn't pass it up and bought it. I love love it. The hide contour feature I use all the time so I can use my PK stamps. I have DS but I don't like that I have to go on my lap top. This is way to convenient. I also take it with me when going to the Dr. always waiting so why not create while you wait. Love it, have fun with your new toy
