I gotta be the first one here! The knifty Knitter has become my obsession! Our church is making hats and scarfs for our local mission. As soon as I figure out pictures on here I will be posting my creations. I am going to try a skinny scarf on the flower loom next. Have a great day and enjoy the new board!

I love my Knifty Knitters! I have the round looms and the long looms! My current project started as a lap throw, but it may end up as a shawl. (I just started it so I just won't make it as long as I originally intended!) I really like the colors (shades of brown and cream)and think it would be wonderful to wear on cool fall nights!

I loved my Knifty Knitter but have to admit...it's been a long time since I've done it. I'm not sure I'd even remember how. <gasp>

I bought the Knifty Knitter set of looms on HSN this summer & I bought an instructional book & dvd at walmart also. I plan on gathering all of my supplies and learn how to knit this fall. I mentioned knitting to the my church circle of women a few weeks ago. We started a new circle at church & our group is called "Proverbs 31".

What else can you make with them?

Hi Jeanne- I love my knifty knitter. I just bought the basic 3 circle set and I LOVE it. Fast, easy, fun. I have only made scarves and hats. I plan on getting the oblong knitter soon to try some different things I have been thinking about. Let me know how you like it.

you can make handbags also! What a great idea for missions work. I have the small flower looms and am getting the bigger ones before our next camping trip. You have inspired me!

What else can you make with them? I like the HSN deal on this as it had all the knifty knitters. It was cheaper than walmart. Check the package out before buying in local store

Thanks Pam, wish I had went to HSN, but went to M's instead and bought the set with a coupon. I also ended up buying a flower maker by Clover called a Hana Ami Flower loom. Has several sizes and three different shapes. It can use yarn, ribbon, fabric strips, raffia...since I couldn't find the flower loom by PC...I had another coupon!

We do the same thing here for the local hospitals. We make hat/scarf sets for the chemo patients ... it's such a cold process, and they truly appreciate the extra warmth these items provide. Since these are donated items, the patients are welcome to keep them.
Even being in Florida, where it is warm, or even hot, most of the year ... these are very welcome and appreciated items.

Glad to see people getting into looming! My original loom set came from a yard sale and I never had the yellow one! I just got another entire set at Joann's yesterday with a coupon. I think it ended up being 11.00 or close. They had another loom that was between the yellow and green one that was maroon, but they were out. I started a colts blue and white hat, but I am not going to have enough yarn! It was donated to our church, so I don't think I will be able find a match for the ancient blue:) I think I will just do the brim and then finish the hat with the white. These hats with donated and half skeins of yarn usually end up making a person be a little extra creative! Just think of all that unused yarn sitting in peoples closets!
