I was just viewing some awesome holiday cards on this forum and noticed alot of embossing. I am new to the cricut and have the cricut expression. How do I emboss?? Help and thanks!

Provocraft makes a machine called the Cuttlebug. You run your papers through it in embossing folders, and voila! Pretty embossed paper.  There are a few other machines too that do the same thing. Sizzix makes numerous machines. The Cuttlebug and I think the Sizzix Big Shot are what most people are using now. Though, if you get a Cuttlebug you can use all companies embossing folders with it. Hope this helps?

I use the Cuttlebug, too!! It's so easy to use and the embossing looks fabulous!!

Judy I use my cuttlebug! You can purchase embossing folders for the cuttlebug! I went to a week end Retreat and had so much fun using different embossing folders that they supply for use. I got hooked and went and purchased a cuttlebug and tons of embossing folders. They really add an extra touch to projects. When I can't locate certain folders Cathy from www.doyouscrapbook.com orders them special for me from provo crafts so I don't have to run around searching for them. She is very helpful!

Love my Cuttlebug! If you decide to get one, try M's or J's with a 50% off coupon. There have also been good deals lately at amazon.com. I think I paid $40 for mine at M's a couple of years ago.
Another machine that embosses (doesn't cut like the Cuttlebug does) is the Sizzix Texture Boutique. They're much cheaper than a Cuttlebug. I don't have one, but I've heard they can only take A2 size and smaller folders. (Cuttlebug is coming out with some 5x7 ones that wouldn't work.)
