I was wondering if i can use a 6X12 mat on the cricut expression that usually takes a 12X12 mat?

I have not tried that, and I wouldn't if I were you. I would think the mat would slide around a bit when it was cutting so you wouldn't get a nice cut and just end up wasting paper.

Unfortunately, you can't use the 6x12 in the E. The rollers are not spaced to hold that mat in place.
