We have three, not so funny stories, of bats in our home last year; all three on different days!! (It would take too long; trust me, you don't want to know).
Recently, a friend told me her uncle went to put his slippers on and felt something in his shoe--which he thought was the lining. When he reached in to straighten it, a bat BIT him!! The bat was caught in a bucket with a towel over it, but when they went to get the bat, the bat was gone (they had at least placed the bucket outside on the stoop). He had to start rabies shots. This just happened a month or so ago.
Bats are territorial, so when we ended up with three over a period of several months, we were beginning to wonder if the first one we let go got in two more times!!
There have been many reports of rabid bats in northern Illinois, which is where my friend's uncle lives.
Your card is very nice; love the cuts and the colors, or course!
