Hi Ladies,
Here are the cards for this month and they are all in the mail. There seems to be lots of people signing up for this swap but only the same 5 or 6 mailing cards. I suppose that is because this swap by design makes it easy to flake! So I want to see if anyone really wants to continue with this after next month. If not I understand, as many of you have lots of other things going on. So please post and let me know! I did 4 sets of cards this month so everyone wouldn't have to get so many of their own back. Thanks

I hate that there are flakers! Like I said in my previous post, I am taking a couple of months off, but I do love this swap, and if it is still available will be jumping back in as soon as I get caught up on my albums!

I loved the cards that I received this month and I applaud the ladies that designed them!
I'm sorry you had to do 4 sets. Please, in the future, ask for an angel to help. I would certainly help out by making another set when someone flakes, so you don't have to.

You are a wonderful hostess, and I appreciate your promptness with returning the cards and for the communication.

I agree with Dori - I think a random "shuffling" of the cards is a good idea. Also, I hope to not receive 10 Father's Day cards next month. My father passed away a couple of years ago, and I don't need them....but a masculine birthday card for a friend or relative would be fine. That is what I plan to create for May.

Received my cards today and I was a bit disappointed.

Seems kind of foolish to send 10 and get 6 of my own back

Guess not many are into making cards even though there are about 14 people listed

I haven't checked my PO box yet but I do agree. We need to re think the way we swap the cards and how many we make. I love this card swap and hope it keeps going. I don't mind doing 10 cards but maybe we should make different cards and give them all out. for example I make 10 cards but in that 10 cards I make 2 or 3 different cards then when they are divided up each person would get 2 of each persons. but they would be different and the months that there are 10 people then they would get 1 of each persons. I know that I will have cards in the swap every month because I love doing them and I love sharing them.

I hope we can figure out how to go about making this swap work.

I also agree that if the people aren't going to do the swap then they should tell us (Some how) that they are not going to be able to do the swap this month... or maybe have a month sign in thread or something. I think it would be easier for everybody if we knew how many every month to make.

Just so you all know I do mine 3 months at a time and send them to Pam so I am in for the long haul. When I send April, May and Birthday and a Patriotic card. I am doing this because I wanted to. I know that we had talked about the birthday / patriotic cards a while back and that I knew then that I would be making 2 sets for the month of June.

I am very sorry and I do understand your disappointment. In previous months I have made several sets of cards to try and keep from sending everyone back so many of their own. I think there just isn't enough interest in this swap as I had hoped there would to keep it going. You are right it is the same 4 or 5 ladies making cards each month. Thank you for all the wonderful cards and the time and effort you put into making wonderful cards. I am truly sorry for the disappointment.

I have received from 2 people for April, so I will finish this month either way.

We can either reduce the number of cards we make to 5 or we can just stop the swap and maybe try again later. Please let me know if you plan to continue with the swap or if you just want out. I completely understand. I can also change the rules and if you sign up you commit, let me know what you think ladies.
