Thanks Josie for hosting this week. Love the sketches. I love our sketch 2 card. The embossing makes it so elegant looking.
i really don't have a favorite color. I like all pastel colors. But If I had to chose I guess it would be green and yellow.

Good morning everyone...It was nice not to have to worry about getting the colors posted this morning. I'm glad everyone likes them.
Turtlebug....Thanks for the great sketches and an easy extra credit. Love the paper with the birds that you used on #3. It's a great take on the Ad Colors and I really liked the Happy Birthday" embossing folder.
Great "Mom" card and nice cuts. You know how I love the chicken wire folder! LOL. The hat pins are a nice touch. Where are they from? Is the card base fraft stock or is it a light green? Your panel card is also very nice. It's great to have cards ready so that all you have to do is add the sentiment.
Christine....If the lighting is bad where you craft, you might want to try an Ott-Lite. It's great for crafting and less strain on your eyes. It also gives off a different color of light. Regular house light bulbs give everything that yellow look. Also, since you post your cards on FB, they can be adjusted there with their built-in program.

Happy Wednesday everyone!
TurtleBug: thank you for hosting and posting the Ad colors... the sketches are great! Very pretty "mom" card and I love that leafy paper you used. The touch of the leaf pins are great. Great matting and embossing on the second card. Perfect paper for the Ad colors on the third card... love that bird paper and love how the "Happy Birthday" is embossed right on the bottom part. Beautiful card
DeeScraps: thanks for choosing this week's colors... they're so pretty!

Thanks Dee for letting me know about the Ott-lite. I actually have a friend that lives close by with one of those lights. They are amazing. Intending on buying one when I move over the summer! But until then, I'll post outside or something in the day light! :)

Hi Ladies, Glad you like the sketches I picked for this week and hope each of you get to tackle the Extra Credit, too!
NanaDonna Ok girl, vaca is over for you! Time to get back in that Craft Room of yours that is BUSTING with stuff (and, I KNOW you have a stick pin or two or 50 somewhere in there!!) waiting to be made into your beautiful cards....chop,chop get to it!!
DeeScraps SO glad I was able to come through and post the AD Colors for you. I was actually stressing over not being able to post them, just cause when it seems something will go wrong it will...thankfully it didn't! You REALLY need to get yourself the "Chickenwire" folder...notice how often I use it on my cards? When I first saw it I thought "How many farmyard cards will I be making?" But, now I find it works with most any card. actually. NanaDonna intoduced me to the Darice embossing folders and love them, they have a big variety and are cheaper than the CBs. The hat pins I bought at Hancocks, a fabric store here in town. The have a big assortment and colors of hat pins, with flowers, pearls, leaves (I used on #1 card), etc. and for alot less than you pay at a Craft Store.
BingoLady, Happy you are up and running again...not you..... your computer!! Will be waiting to see your nice cards with your signature embossing on them!
christine, Sorry about all the issues you have been having with your lighting. Hopefully, you will find a solution soon. Have you tried scanning your cards instead, though they will post as an attachment?
VickieBryan1 By all means, please go ahead and use green and yellow on your Extra Credit if you like.
Raquel, Laundry day for me too! But now have to do last week's ironing since I was making 2 weeks worth of cards then and did't get it done...now I have the rest of the week to get caught up around the house(ya right!) . Glad you liked the leaf paper on my #1 card. Lydia shared with me a variety of papers from some of her Stacks(she has alot of them!), so not sure which stack it came from.
rhonda* Thank you for stopping by and checking out our challenge. Hope you decide to join in on the fun!If you haven't voted for your favorite new name yet don't forget to cast your vote...you have until March 4th

The pattern paper is from graphic45 SECRET GARDEN. This is a 6x6 paper pack. It is so pretty. I used an Anna Griffin embossing folder called Rosa. Its a border strip embossing folder. Josie Thank you for hosting this week! Wonderful sketches and great sample cards. I will come back later to post my full comments.
Dee Thank you for the ad colours!
Lots of wonderful cards already! I'm leaving for work shortly so just popping in. We had another 25 cm of snow yesterday so traffic is crawling. It took 90 minutes to get home last night when it is usually only a 30 minutes drive. I'm looking forward to Spring!
Have a great day everyone!

Gisele....Hope your snow is melted and won't cause you any more problems. Be safe!
Bingolady....I loved your card. It's so simple but perfect! Great use of the Ad Colors.
VickieBryan....Three very beautiful cards. I think Graphic 45 puts out the such interesting and beautiful papers. Your flowers are great. I was actually able to FINALLY get the photos to enlarge so I could see them. I'm so glad because I've been missing so many details on so many cards.
Have a good day.
Dee

Hello ladies, I got this card done yesterday but didn't get a chance to take the pictures and post it. In honor of our hostess I made this card with some yellow in it her favorite color Paper are CTMH Pemberley Pack. The tag is cut using Artiste cartridge. I will add a sentiment when I decide how I want to use it.

Trying to get a couple things cleaned up and taken care of around here then hope to get started on my next card

BingoLady #2 & Ad Colors - Very nice! Like the border strip you used for embossing, like the tiny flowers and the border cut behind ...it looks like a flowerbox with the flowers hanging out of it. Very crisp and clean card. #1 - Very Pretty! Like the colors, layered circles and BG paper. You finally used the some of butterflies all three of us bought on our shopping strip at SAS. Since you and I no longer have our Moms, we can just exchange Mother's Day cards, ok??
VickieBryan #2 & Ex. Credit - Very pretty embossing, did you use vellum for the strips, looks very nice? Will have to check out Anna Griffin embossing folders. You are doing very well with the rolled flowers...they look so pretty with the big white petals. #3 - Like all the assorted colors and designs on the BG paper, and yes, the whole card does say Spring with all the soft pastel colors and crisp white bow.
Gisele Careful with the snow out there! The little bit of snow we had here last week was bad enough for driving on, so I can only imagine what it must be like there. I'm so ready for Spring as well...the Summer not so much...it can get to 110+ degrees easily.
NanaDonna So sorry about the Extra Credit I picked for this week!! I forgot your Mom is still here staying with you for the Winter and you couldn't very well work on her card, cause like you have said...she likes to be with you sometimes when you are crafting. #1 & Ex. Credit - Nice card, like the big flower in the center and the tag slipped through the ribbon. Like the blue/yellow color combo, too!

Wow great cards posted so far this week. I worked on a card today but did not get it completely finished. Will try and work on it again tomorrow. Had Emma down around my feet part of the day and that really slows me down. She loves to play with my Cuttlebug.
It has been quiet around here, hope everyone is having a great week and finds some time to get in a bit of crafting.

Its been a while! Nice to see all the newer people. Hoping to play along again, at least on the weekends. Ive been locked out of the MB so I gave up, but realized the thousands of dollars I have invested...LOL
#2 and xcredit- Since my mom died a few years ago, I made this my Mothers Day card for my oldest daughter who was very close to my mom. She is the one that lives in London, England To simple- I just cut 3 papers the same size and stuck them to the cardboard color paper :-) Ribbon is woven over & under...etc Favorite color....pink (and Purple-not used :-) ) and black-both are very subtle on this card. Not a lot of Cricut used here..next one :-0 paper is Graphic 45 which is my favorite paper brand! Edited by user Friday, March 01, 2013 9:48:33 AM(UTC)

Hi Everyone! I just got back from my son's Kindergarten Orientation. I can't believe he's starting Kindergarten this Fall already! Alright, I wanted to address the name change.
Last week I voted for two names, please disregard my votes from last week
After seeing our current title (Wednesday Card Sketch Challenge) listed twice in the main Card Forum, I thought it looked really cool!
My final vote is to keep the current title we are now using for the second week in a row:
Wednesday Card Sketch Challenge
