CCR is too cumbersome & I don't want to be tethered to a computer - if I did want to craft using a computer, I'd be using the machine that shall not be named. The whole reason I went with the cricut instead of another machine is so I wouldn't be tied to the computer. I use my gypsy all the time and will be lost when it breaks.

My gypsy won't hold a charge anymore. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, what did you do to correct it?
Thanks

Thanks There was a thread not too long ago about people getting an external battery type thing from ebay for their Gypsy's. I am sorry, but I really can't remember who posted, but maybe if you went to ebay and searched for a Gypsy battery, you could find something. I am so sad that it appears PC has put aside the Gypsy. I will not be using CCR. I think it will possibly cut down on my cartridge purchasing. I know that there are those who really like CCR, but I won't be tied to my computer. I LOVE my Gypsy. And I can't get the internet when I camp to use CCR.

I am on my 3rd. Gyspey the last one I got 11 months ago and already the darn thing is flickering. I really really wish they would have kept it. So many of us just don't want to be tied down to a computer!!

I wouldn't mind so much if the gypsy went away IF they made an app for ipod or droid for the CCR. If I could design on the CCR and plug it into my expression the way I plug in my gypsy and cut, then I would be happy... as long as all my carts from gypsy wind up registered in CCR! I want the flexibility of designing on the fly.

I was talking about the Gypsy being discontinued (disc.) abbreviation- before the Imagine here. CDS (Cricut Design Studio) was disc. before that, but out Walmart had a coulpe left at $60! BJR.

An app would not help me out at all for CCR. I take my baby bug camping along with my Gypsy. I do not have internet service in the middle of the forest.
