I bit the bullet and bought a copy of a third party software program that allows me to use my cricuts without carts. If you are interested, shoot me a PM. I am LOVING it! I am attaching my first project using it.

Happy Family Day /Happy Presidents Day

Had a nice morning with my GF. I shared some cards I made using SU stamps and she shared some new techniques with me.

She is starting to get hooked on Cricut. Borrowed another cartridge today she is seeing how useful the cricut is.Then she shared some stamps with me I said this is a money saving day.

She is quite a SU collector loads of stamps. She does beatiful work.

Laura, I clicked the link, but still couldn't see your project. But sometimes I think it is my computer. It is pretty old and not very fast and not very big.

I am thoroughly enjoying my week break! DH isaway at work most of the day and DD is nearing teenage years, so she doesn't appear from her bed until about lunch. Busy with my crafty stuff. Would have been so nice to have the paper for the wedding invites, so I could get started. But I am enjoying puttering.

Sharon, my vote is for the bubble bath. Get rid of the vomit smell that is in my nose by readiing your post! I have found some bath salts at Wally's that I just LOVE. Euclyptus/spearmint. All the girls use them in our family. Relaxing fragrance.

And I know that I did not spell eu . . . . .correctly. But I just didn't go look it up.

Shelly, I completely understand this. Our oldest is having a bit of a hard time with her two younger sisters getting married. She is almost 28, and she hasn't found anyone either. She is aggressive at work (which she needs to be working in a male world) but at home and just out and about, she is shy and quiet.

Oh my goodness, Sharon, there is a HUGE difference between 8th grade and kindergarten. Hmmmm.

I am exhausted,but I know why. I think DH woke up every hour, and woke me up to help him. I did not get much sleep.

He has a dr's appointment in about 45 minutes to check on his progress.

Got two dresses almost cut out between helping DH and getting a massage, which was lovely.

Nancy, maybe I can catch up by the end of April with the challenge! It really is a great challenge.

To add another layer to the busyiness around here (two layers) I went and looked at a possible new dog yesterday, and Megan has little itchy blisters on her abdomen.

The dog is a three year old yellow lab, girl, spayed and house trained. Her owner's husband passed away a few weeks ago from cancer and she has to move and has two littlel dogs and this one and she can't keep them all. I think we will be getting a new dog.

And Megan has this little tiny blisters on her this morning. I think they might look like chicken pox, excpet that she has already had chicken pox - twice! Megan and Kate have both had them twice. They had them when they were like three and five, and then again when they were in high school. She went to school to tidy up her desk, then she is going to try and get into the doc first thing. I can't imagine having them three times, but twice was so odd, too.

JOY - Glad Megan doesn't have chicken pox. First thing I thought of when you said it, was Shingles. Neither is fun. Hopefully this bacterial thing will go away quickly. Hope the dog works out for you, if that is what you want. How are the dresses coming? Hope DH is feeling better everyday, and you are able to get some sleep!!

Sharon - Wow! Kindergarten to 8th grade is a big, big difference. totally understand your frustration with your job situation! Hopefully it will work out, but its got to be hard! Good luck.

Nancy - Sounds like your dr visit went well! Glad your tests came back on the positive side. Sounds like your bowling is going great too.

Had my GS yesterday. What a BUSY little guy! Makes me wonder how I did took care of five kids. Of course they weren't all the same age, but he wears me out. Love him to death though!!

Have decided I need to go back on my diet! Over the past 3 1/2 years I took off 70 pounds. I didn't get down as much as I wanted. Over the winter I have gained a little of it back, so I am going to get it back off and see if I can get the other 10 pounds off. I got it off slowly over about a year and a half and kept it off until I got sick around the end of November. I have had a cold practically nonstop since, so I am blaming my weight gain on that, lol!

Well after Abigail doctor appt. the other day they were concerned that she wasn't crawling.

She crawls but not on demand! well she came home she proved them wrong because she is crawling all over. Now Max barks at her because one minute she is on the other side of the room and before you know it she is on the other. Max is getting nervous now LOL

She claps hands... I think these doctors just want to push the testing for the $$$

We will extend the challange to April Joy give me a date???

What I will do is make another 5 each month.. If anyone else is interested it is a good way to get that head start on your Holiday Cards

Nancy, I am a bit behind with this, but glad your new meds are helping you feel better!

And I agree with all of the pregnancy/baby testing for dollars. TOO many tests!

Sharon, good luck your interviews! I just seems like you have not been doing what you were hired to do at your current place. 8th grade??? Really.

Kate did not crawl until she was one. She didn't have to. She had two older sisters to wait on her hand and foot. However, Jill was walking by nine months. She is still very competitive. And the funny thing is, Jill was two weeks before her due date, Megan was right on time, and Kate, who knows. I had a 30 day due date with her. But that is how they did things. Jill was always on the early side, Megan was in the typical time frame, and Kate has NEVER been in a hurry. Except weddings.

DH seems to be feeling better this morning. Although he did get stronger pain meds yesterday. But they make him jittery. He is getting a tiny bit of cabin fever, though, so I think that is a good sign.


I said yes to the dog. So, Chevy will be coming to live with us either the end of next week or the beginning of the following week.

Nancy, how about 10 cards done by the end of April? It is not quite five a month, but I think I can get that done pretty easily. Again, I think your challenge is a GREAT idea. We've just been a little busy.

Busy day today. Kate and I have worship team practice, but before we go to practice, we have to take Kate's car to Merle's brother so he can do some work on it, since Merle can't.

And a bunch of errands after practice. Including getting the tuxes chosen and ordered. And taking Kate's dress in to get it ready for the wedding.

I ordered some really cute lamps that come with battery candles to put on the pews at church. They are something I can use for years to come, though.

It snowed a tiny tiny bit last night, and Nick just slid on the deck. It is icy.

Hopefully I get back to sewing this afternoon.
