Fran.....thank you for signing up! The project that has challenged me the most is one on which I am still working. It is a word collage set up like a Scrabble game that I am making for my MIL. She loves Scrabble, and beats everyone she plays....even Words With Friends presents no challenge for her. Anyway, I have been looking for Scrabble games at yard sales and flea markets since last summer. I know I could just buy the tiles, but I wanted tiles that looked well worn. I am still looking for letters, and may just have to buy them and distress them myself, so that has been a bit of a challenge. The major challenge has been to create the game in progress itself. I am using words that have meaning to my MIL....names of family, places she has visited, where she was married, etc. Getting everything in the right order and following the game rules has been difficult, and something on which I am still working. I will figure it out eventually, but it is definitely challenging. I hope to give it to her for Christmas this year. If anyone has an original Scrabble game (wooden letter tiles) they are willing to part with, please let me know! GG

I have just finished reading thru all of the questions and your answers!
You are a very interesting person and your new picture is very nice.
I would never imagine that you have Heath issues. You look happy and super healthy!!
So many of the questions that I would ask a new friend have been asked... So my question is, do you have the CTMH cartridges? I recently treated myself to Artiste from Craigslist, but have also been eyeing art philosophy...
If you have it, do you like it?

MamaC....of course you could give the prize away if you win. How wonderful to support that ministry. I believe I have seen some of your posts about it...one where the women made scrapbooks, and another where they made hats and blankets, I think? My ideas come from all around, I guess. I like to take a walk and clear my head before I start anything. I think about what I want to make, and how it will work. I am blessed enough to live in a very beautiful neighborhood, so there is plenty of pretty trees and flowers to look at. If I cannot go for a walk, I look through art books I have at home for color inspiration....that is usually where things start for me....colors I want to combine in some way. I also listen to music...all kinds of music. My house is rarely without the sound of some type of music coming from it...lol! I work very hard not to look at things like Pinterest and other sites like it. I like to look at what others have made, but not when I am trying to make something myself. It is just too easy to copy something someone else has made, which I try not to do because I want to be original in the items I sell, OR, and this is usually the situation for me....try to copy something, and find that I cannot make mine look as good as theirs! GG

JoJoy.....I started crafting very young. My Grammy Ginia (I could not say Virginia) taught me how to paint beginning as early as I can remember. She always let me use HER paints and brushes. It made me feel special and very confident and very loved. She also taught me how to sew, quilt, knit, crochet, and embroider. One of my earliest memories is of a painting we were doing together of a goose she had on her farm named Oscar. Her Oscar was much better than mine, it looked like he had jumped right into her painting, and I remember getting frustrated that I could not make my Oscar look like that...I was maybe 3. I took my paintbrush, jammed it into the paint and slapped the paint all over my Oscar. Grammy Ginia did the same thing with hers, and I started to cry, knowing I had made her ruin her beautiful painting. I do not remember much after that, other than her arms around me, but I was once again assured in her love for me. I lost Ginia last March...she went home to Jesus, and when cleaning out her small apartment, I found paintings, drawings, crafts and letters I had given to her from the time I was small up until the month she passed. Everything I make is because I had someone who believed in me and cared enough to teach me and to share something they enjoyed with me. By the way, I have always let my boys use MY craft stuff. GG

ditskid.....thank you for your kind comments. My doctor says I am the happiest sick person he knowsLOL LOL LOL . I do not have the CTMH carts, but would love to. Several ladies that I know on the MB have both Artiste and Art Philosophy, and say it is worth having both. You may want to ask your question on a thread of your own though, as you are more likely to get a good comparison that way. GG

Rice.....I have a couple fave tips I have learned from the MB. First, use your spatula to remove your images from your mat. Actually, having a couple spatulas, one for each hand, can be useful. Remove your paper the same way. 2) Baby wipes are little moist miracle workers....perfect for cleaning your mats of those pesky pieces of paper lint. 3) Mark your mat cover as soon as you get it with the word "front" or "yes" or whatever works for you so you always put the cover back on the same way. 4) This may seem impossible, but I swear at some point you will forget what carts and/or embossing folders you have. If you do not make some type of list, either of ones you have or of ones to buy, you will end up duplicating. I carry a list of carts to buy wherever I go, never know where I might see a Cricut sale! With my embossing folders, I emboss a paint chip and put the name on the back of it with a sticker. I keep them on an O-ring in alphabetical order and throw them in my purse whenever I leave the house...again you just never know! HTH. GG

OK COB....a material thing that I would like just for myself? I have always wanted an old, original, mint condition Dodge Charger, Ford Mustang, or Chevy pick up truck. My Dad had no sons, and I was a tomboy, so I learned everything he would have taught a son, had he had one. I actually know more about cars, and how to fix them, than my husband does...LOL ! And, I am the one that taught our guys how to throw a football, and baseball, and how to shoot a basketball, etc. my husband wanted to do those things, but he had to travel a lot when our guys were little, so if they were to learn, it was up to me. I have a pic somewhere that my neighbor took of me and my 3 guys laying under our van...just our 8 legs and feet sticking out....while I showed them how to change the oil. They were 6 1/2, 5, and 3 1/2 at the time.

Now, if we are talking crafty stuff, it is a toss up between the Enveloper....an envelope making tool that you wrap the paper around somehow to make envies....OR one of the CTMH carts.

CraftyCreations....I just started scrapbooking this year. I have been card making off and on for 5 years, mostly Christmas cards and some simple cards I taught at my church. Then, I got my Cricut for Christmas 2011, and started making other cards, and teaching a more expanded class at my church. GG

I really cannot give you any advice on upgrading, since the E2 is the only machine I have had. I am sure there are many wonderful crafters on this site if you post that question who would be able to help you. GG
